Robbie Rogers Shows Off Rainbow Laces for Anti-Homophobia Campaign: PHOTO


Out L.A. Galaxy footballer Robbie Rogers posted a photo of his rainbow laces on Instagram over the weekend. The laces are part of an anti-homophobia campaign.

The Daily Mail notes that despite resistance from some Premier League teams the laces were adopted by a number of high profile figures in the football world including Match of the Day host Gary Lineker, Newcastle chief Alan Pardew, players Leroy Fer, Phil Jagielka, Aron Gunnarsson. and Russell Martin, BT Sport pundit David James

  3. He'd do better if he would advise all to boycott the Russian Olympics. As long as he continues to encourage athletes and viewers to participate and watch he's on the gay sh*t list.

  4. Yes it's a shame Robbie's not playing now for the Galaxy. Watched the game Sat night looking for him but he didn't dress. Glad he took part in the rainbow laces program and got some of his teammates to wear them also. Small steps, but progress nonetheless.
