Skating on Glass: VIDEO

Skating

This is just a very simple clip of people skating on a lake in Montana's Swan Valley that froze so quickly it's as transparent as glass. It might give you some peace today.

Watch, AFTER THE JUMP...

  1. It's so beautiful, that they have to go out and cover it in skate scratches so that no one else can enjoy it's beauty...

Typical " I'm entitled" behaviour, find something beautiful, then go out an destroy it for everyone....

  13. LOL @ Windswept because you seriously need to get a grip on reality. That comment is probably one of the stupidest I've read here.

  14. Actually, clear ice is formed when water without dissolved gas freezes. It allows the formation of large ice crystals. You want it to freeze slowly so that dissolved gases have a chance to be released.

  15. Just so you know, it was -43F last week in Montana, which was a record low.

  16. @ Windswept: Seriously? That's what the Zamboni is for; it'll be out between periods. You'll never know those people were there.

And "no one else can enjoy its beauty"? There is no one else! It's freakin' Montana! The closest "city"--Kalispell has only 20,000 residents. And if one lake looks like that, lots of them do.

    Priceless. Clueless.
