  1. This is the creakiest series of Downton yet. Was going to give up after episode 1, but was watching out for a friend's bit part. After three series, Julian Fellowes is pretty much recycling every bit of nonsense already, and the plot developments are pretty much telegraphed from the beginning of the first scene.

  2. I hadn't realized Downton had ended after the last episode. No major closures. It just seemed like more buildup and no release. Season 4 wasn't bad at all and I'll be watching it again when out in the states so I can talk about it with my mum but it definitely lost it's luster.

    Tom Cullen among some other new eye candy helps. And could Gary Carr fit anything more down his pants? I think not. It's somewhat elusive but those period costumes do him justice. Just saying.
