Diner Assault In Queens Being Investigated As Hate Crime

On Wednesday morning, a man and two women yelled anti-gay slurs at another man and a trans woman inside the Neptune Diner on Astoria Boulevard, according to a local ABC 7 report. The altercation became physical as the assailants threw plates at the man and woman. The victims were later taken to Astoria General Hospital for head lacerations.

The New York Police Department is now investigating the assault as a hate crime. They have released an image of the suspects (above).
