The OXD Mirror: New Music by Tensnake, Fort Romeau, Hercules And Love Affair and more
Tensnake feat. Jeremy Glenn: 'Selfish'
House music fans from all over the globe have been longing for a full length release by Tensnake ever since his smashing dancefloor hit 'Coma Cat' made ways into DJ record crates back in 2010. The time has finally come for Glow, the German producer’s debut album, after a few singles appeared during the past months. It features collaborations with Nile Rodgers (of Chic, and most recently Daft Punk), Jacques Lu Cont (producer of Madonna’s Confessions on a Dancefloor), Jamie Lidell, singer Fiora and Canadian vocalist/producer Jeremy Glenn. 'Selfish,' the song featuring Glenn’s voice, is a sweet pop track infused with 80’s synths which I can easily see making its way into radio waves across the world.
MORE NEW MUSIC AFTER THE JUMP...
The latest single off of Tensnake's Glow is 'Love Sublime' and it comes packed with remixes by Duke Dumont (which Ru already recommended), as well as French Express’ very own Jonas Rathsman, including his signature deep bass lines.
Another bass rich track, but a bit more on the disco side, is Marlow’s 'Backroom,' which layers Pete Josef’s lyrics on top of a stylish jazzy dance beat.
London producer Fort Romeau (aka Mike Greene) is one of my favorites and creates a consistent stream of extremely beautiful textural house tracks – and his most recent release, 'Her Dream,' is no exception.
Jakobin & Domino's 'Need A Dance' is an uplifting homage to the refined, jazz-influenced Chicago house style reminiscent of legendary anthems like Larry Heard's 'Can You Feel It.'
Following last week’s announcement of a new album, Hercules And Love Affair shared this week a new track called 'Be With You' as a free download. Judging by this and 'Do You Feel The Same?' shared by Josh last week, the upcoming LP could easily become one of the highlights of the year.

OCCUPY THE DISCO (OXD) curates and recommends music events to the gay community in NYC—in an effort to move the focus of the nightlife scene beyond the promoter and venue and to the music itself. OXD's goal is to educate, entertain, engage and empower the gay audience to reclaim their ability to question and experience the unknown. The OXD Mirror will serve to showcase tunes that are definitely off-the-beaten-path but rightfully deserve the attention of the gay ear.
