Karl Rove Says Hillary Clinton Has Brain Damage, Then Denies It: VIDEO
Hillary Clinton is seriously considering a bid for the presidency in 2016, so naturally Republicans are getting nasty. Karl Rove throws his two cents in by recalling Clinton's trip to the hospital in 2012 after she suffered a blood clot in her head after falling and all but outright saying that she's suffering from brain damage. According to New York Post's Page Six, Rove allegedly said at a conference last Thursday:
Thirty days in the hospital? And when she reappears, she's wearing glasses that are only for people who have traumatic brain injury? We need to know what's up with that.
Tuesday on Fox News, Rove clarified his statements:
No, no. I didn't say she had brain damage, she had a serious health episode and my point was that I think it was from the 7th of December in 2012 through the 7th of January of 2013, she underwent, first she had apparently a serious virus.
He didn't say she had brain damage, he just wants to know "what's up with" why she was wearing glasses that are for victims of brain trauma, which is not at all a flaccid attempt to transitively imply that Clinton is indeed actually suffering from brain damage. Rove is just reminding Clinton and her supporters that her health records would be a concern if she decides to run, that's all.
