  1. Same old, and boring. I am happy AHS got some nominations, but I was hoping Major Crimes would get at least few, great stories and acting, and always social acpetcs in them.

  2. Same old

Orphan Black dissed again...as was RuPaul's Drag Race...

  3. People are always going to disagree with some of the nominations, thinking some of the noms are a joke, and others more worthy have been snubbed.

Here is the thing I am wondering. When is the Academy of Television Arnts and Sciences and the National Acedemy of Television Arts And Sciences, like the Oscars, going to start recognizing young stars in the acting categories. Except for a handful of times, Fred Savage, Kristy McNicol, and Roxana Zal (if there are others I do not recall, the prime time emmys have not nominated the amazing young talent out there.

On "Game Of Thrones" alone, just about every one of the young actors on that show deserved to be nominated against other actors from other shows in the best supporting actor categories.

All these award shows are a joke, every year nominating not the best, but the most visible, and the most popular with the academy . . . but ignoring amazing talent because of youth is ludicrous.

  4. Was Penny dreadfuls considered for this year Emmy ? If so, it's a shame it appears nowhere.

  5. Nothing at all for Penny Dreadful? It was a tour de force for Eva Green and the scenic designers.

I'm also disappointed not to see a nomination for Melissa McBride for The Walking Dead.

Happy to see all the American Horror Story: Coven actresses nominated, and pleased with the Fargo nominations, but why is Allison Tolman supporting?

  6. Eva Green and Tatiana Mosley should both have been nominated. And really, Kerry Washington? They call what she does in Scandal "acting?"

  7. two words: tatiana maslany

  8. Meh. Same old sh*t.

No Supernatural. No Jensen Ackles. Too bad.

Won't be watching this year either.

  9. "The Americans" got shafted--maybe it'll finally crack the inner circle next year once "Breaking Bad" is gone. Glad Macy finally got noticed for "Shameless" but astonished Emmy Rossum was ignored. Also surprised Andre Braugher got the only love for "Brooklyn Nine Nine."

  10. As far as Orphan Black goes, what US network does it run on? Downton Abbey is another BBC show, but it gets nominated for PBS.

  11. "The Normal Heart" got quite a few nominations. It deserved every of them. Ditto "Cosmos".

  12. enjoy reading this article.

    Thanks

  13. Natasha Lyonne, Uzo Aduba and Laverne Cox have been nominated for the Guest Actress in a Comedy Emmy. And now I'm torn because I want them all to win.

  14. About time Treme got a nod!! I'm actually surprised though it's nominated for Best Miniseries but I'm happy it's finally getting the recognition it truly deserved since first airing. That's the one I hope gets it but if not... I'm just glad they got the nod.

Regarding Penny Dreadful. Next year. I believe it was too late to make the cut but certain it will make the cut next year.

  15. So excited by this set of nominees! Love the (huge) recognition of Orange is the New Black (go Captain Janeway!), The Normal Heart, Game of Thrones, House of Cards, The Good Wife, Breaking Bad, American Horror Story, and Mad Men. That best actor in a drama category is a doozy! I think either McConaughey or Cranston gets it.

  16. Dastius Krazitauc - "Orphan Black" airs on BBC America, which is a US network. In fact, it airs a week or two earlier here than in the UK; the US and Canada (it is a Canadian production) see it at the same time.

And yes, I am totally ticked off that the brilliant Ms. Maslany didn't get a nomination.

  17. "No Supernatural. No Jensen Ackles. Too bad."

Please tell me this is a joke. It would take 10,000 universes for the laws of probability to allow Ackles and that awful show to be nominated in even one of them. Tatiana Maslany, I get. But Jensen Ackles? No.

  18. LAVERNE COX - outstanding guest actress

yes folks, history has been made. well met, Laverne!

  19. As usual, there were too many repeat nominations. Doesn't Bryan Cranston have enough Emmys? And what's with all this love of Downtown Abbey, which I watch but regard as a guilty pleasure because it is not much more than a daytime soap opera? Does it automatically get extra points because it is so British?

Glad to see Lizzy Caplan get a nomination (Masters of Sex). But Elizabeth Moss (Mad Men) should have been nominated. Another person who should have been there is Dean Norris (Hank on Breaking Bad).
