Threatening Letters Sent To San Diego Gay Bars - VIDEO

Threatening letters sent to gay bars in san diego

Threatening letters have been sent to two gay bars in San Diego.

Baja Betty's and Flicks, both in the Hillcrest area of the city, received the letters that threaten “car accidents, even death,” according to ABC 10 News.

The letters, each with fake return addresses, come amid a series of decisions favouring same-sex marriage in California.

The 15-page letter sent to Baja Betty’s, written by “Eddie 777, servant and messenger of God Yahweh,” says that the bar is full of pedophiles and sex addicts and that “god will punish you, Mr owner and staff, with bad luck, bad karma, injuries, accidents, car accidents, and worse, death.”

Speaking to ABC 10 News, Baja Betty’s marketing manager Eddie Reynoso said:

"In my opinion, it's a definite reflection of the current progress toward equality. It's not going to distract us from our momentum. In fact, it's going to make us celebrate even more.”

Although a report has been filed, police have yet to make a statement.

  1. Interesting "yaweh" messenger who talks about karma... Someone's ending up in hell but it's not us.

  2. Yahweh? Well, that can mean Messianics or a revivalist black church.

  4. Writing looks like Ted Kazinski has been smuggling out his enlightened revelations again.

Won't someone teach these fools how to do joined-up writing !

  5. San Diego is sort of the Colorado Springs of California...lots of military which can lead to a conservative atmosphere. I hope nothing terrible happens. Flicks and Baja Betty's are fun places.

  6. Sorry sweetheart. There's FAR more pedophiles in the church than in any gay bar in the world. Why don't you start there...?

  8. Surprised Rick hasn't dropped by to offer his "wisdom," declaring that they should all just stop pushing their sexuality on others and stay in the closet so that this poor beset bigot could stop feeling so uncomfortable.

On a serious note, hope that nothing comes of this, other than an arrest. The more desperate these types get, the more violently they are likely to respond.

  9. Liamb, hate mail of any kind is unacceptable. Don't assume you know my views on any subject matter. That being said, do we know this was not a hoax? These kinds of stories have a bad track record of turning out to be hoaxes as of late. Gay people should not be threatened for existing. Its only when they rebel against necessary gender constructs that the deserve derision.

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. But I'm more irritated than flattered.

These letters are horrible but they do seem fake. Though I received a similar letter from my father in my 20s. I lost his favor after I moved away from home and was no longer able to felate him whenever he wanted. But he was able to get on with his life after he discovered the dog's love of peanut butter.

  12. Studies have shown that the page count of polemics, screeds, and ranting is proportional to the level of kray-zee.

  13. In all seriousness, and with no snark intended, it would not surprise me at all if in 5-10 years, Little Kiwi became something like the letter writer in this story.

There is a certain personality type. A person who has a deep need to crusade against some external evil, to cast moral judgments, to combat mortal threats, and to turn mundane life into a tempestuous drama. These people often will attach to some political or religious cause and become ardent warriors. But eventually, that cause fails to serve up the intense feelings that this type of person needs.

So the person switches to the opposite side and becomes an ardent warrior for the cause he had just opposed. There are several so-called "ex-gays" who fit this type. Once loud, radical "queers" fighting oppression and tolerating no compromise. Later, converted to loud radical Christians, condemning sin and accepting no compromise.

Kiwi shows all the signs of this personality type. So mark my words, in 2019-2024, there's a good chance you will see a story in the Toronto press about how gay activist Raymond Miller announced that he is free of homosexuality and has embraced Jesus.

  14. See, if I give myself a female first name and a last name you'll never know it's me, Rick. I'm not transparent at all.

  15. The only one going to hell is the one writting the letter.
