Check Out This Comedian's Awesome Response to Westboro's Plans to Protest Robin Williams' Funeral: VIDEO

Hills

Australian comedian and late night host Adam Hills had some choice words for Westboro Baptist Church after hearing of their plans to protest the funeral of Robin Williams for being a "fag enabler"

Said Hills on last night's The Last Leg:

"Firstly, regardless of your religious beliefs, you don't disrupt a funeral. A person died, his family are mourning. It's not about you d**khead. And secondly, if you really believe in standing up to those threatening the Christian way of life Westboro Baptist Church, how about putting your money where your mouth is, taking a direct flight to Iraq and picketing the people threatening to behead Christians if they don't convert! Surely that's more a threat to Christianity than the guy who said, "Do you think God ever gets stoned? Look at a platypus, I think he might!"... I will personally pay for every member of Westboro Baptist Church to fly to Iraq right now, I'll even fly you first class and pay the carbon offset..."

  1. Now that old Fred Phelps is dead and his relatives are defecting from his church, how many members of Westboro are actually left? 3? 5? 10? and most of all, who cares?!
By the way this comedian should show respect and not really say the f-word(homophobic slur)that he did at least twice. He's simply playing into the hands of this hideous organization. He needs to be a little more sensitive.

  3. David, cut him some slack. He was repeating what the "church" says, to show how offensive they are.

  6. I continue to maintain that one can say a "forbidden word," like the "f" or "n" words, as long as it's clear that we're discussing the word itself, and not making a person or group the target of abuse.

  8. The WBC is actually not one of the churches declaiming a war on Christianity is upon them. Their focus is always on a vengeful God coming to destroy the US for this, that or another thing. Not Canada, not the Netherlands, not Saudi Arabia nor China, nor India or any non-Christian country, but only the USA.

  9. Now that would be great television to see the confrontation between Westboro and ISIS, one armed with signs on sitcks saying ISIS are fag enablers and the other with AK-47s.

  10. not much more to say except, kudos to this comedian...I love his challenge to WBC, but as you and I all know, WBC could care less about true Christianity and would not even entertain the thought to fly to Iraq, even first class, to really fight where Christians are truly suffering.....

  11. I'm sure the presence of the Westboro Baptist klan will be hurtful to Robin William's family. But in way his family should consider it a great honor. Everyone should live their life in a way that that Westboro Baptist will protest at your funeral.
