Gay 'Faking It' Star Michael Willett Talks (And Sings) About His Acting And Music Career: VIDEO

Willett

Out gay actor Michael Willett, famous for his roles in Showtime's United States of Tara, indie movie G.B.F., and MTV lesbian high school comedy Faking It, sat down with iHeartRadio's Charlie Carballo at ComicCon last week to talk about his career, both on screen and off. Things got a little silly.

Willett not only discussed season two of his hit MTV show, about two high school girls who fake a romantic relationship in a bid for popularity, but also an upcoming album and single which he described as "very alt-pop—my interpretation of what glam, rock and pop should be." Charlie then put the crooner to the test, demanding a song about Little Debbie snacks to the tune of "My Girl" (a throwback to Willett's first gig starring in a Hostess commercial). After the surprisingly sweet serenade, Charlie asked Willett to "talk nerdy" to him. The multi-talented entertainer certainly rose to the challenge.

  9. I think I read somewhere he's from Clovis, just like Chris Colfer (I grew up in Fresno, basically same area).
He was in United States of Tara. I found the character to be incredibly annoying but I'm glad to see he is way more down to earth.

He was the only good thing about GBF (and his abs were surprisingly nice).
