Kenya Drafts 'Stone The Gays' Bill

Kenya gay protest

Taking their cues from Uganda, The Republican Liberty Party of Kenya has drafted their very own version of the "Kill the Gays" bill that calls for public death by stoning for "aggravated homosexuality," which is defined as "committing the acts with people below 18 years, if the offender is a person living with HIV, if those persons committing the act are persons in authority over their victims, serial offenders and where a victim is a person with a disability."

For regular old sodomy, Kenyan nationals would be subjected to life in prison. Foreigners, however, would be administered the death penalty by the aforementioned public stoning. As has been seen before in Uganda, Russia, and the U.S., the reprehensible human beings behind this approval of institutionalized murder don't have the fortitude of character to just admit they are gay-hating xenophobes and are instead hiding behind children and families. The petitioner states:

There is need to protect children and youth who are vulnerable to sexual abuse and deviation as a result of cultural changes, uncensored information technology, parentless child developmental settings and increasing attempts by homosexuals to raise children in homosexual relationships through adoption, foster care or otherwise.

Fortunately, this is just a draft bill and is still under parliamentary consideration, but the fact that it was submitted in the first place is frightening enough. Time will tell if this fizzles into nothing or if Kenya is determined to be as atavistic as Uganda and what the fallout from it all will be.

  1. I know there are time zone differences across the globe, but who knew some go back to the heyday of the Neanderthals? Idiots.

  3. @ "...who knew some go back to the heyday of the Neanderthals? Idiots."

There were no Neanderthals in Africa.

But this is disgusting-- in one of the most progessives governments in Africa. Yes , this brings tears to my eyes.

  6. If you want to know where this kind of thinking comes from, it wasn't the Neanderthals- it was Christian missionaries.

This is the kind of thing that happens when Christianity takes over a country. Today, 82.5% of the people in Kenya are Christians. You know why? Christian missionaries.

So before we get too superior, let's remember that we exported that hate to them. They learned it from us.

  7. Xtian missionaries who do this, especially if they are American need to be stripped of their citizenship and booted out of the country. If they are advocating politics instead of just preaching then their "so called" churches should be stripped of that non-profit status, the tune would change very quickly if that happened.

  8. I thought the era of lazy western reporters in African countries who manufacture stories from the inspiration of a few beers and the African sun was supposed to have ended with the advent of the internet. I am surprised that gullible editors and a racially biased readership still exists in civilised Alabama.

  9. Having witnessed the near-total non-response from the West on Uganda, why wouldn't Kenya follow suit?

  11. If they pass such a law, the only recourse should be to break diplomatic relations with Kenya (or Uganda et al) and isolate them from the world community. Expel them from the United Nations. Come down hard on them. It'll never happen. But, it's what SHOULD happen.

  14. Why are these African nations given aid?

They are too f***ing murderous to deserve it.

I hope there's a big fat famine in Kenya soon.

    No more aid to African.

  15. Most of the comments here are from "donald Trumps" - people who don't do their homework. Some idiot thought of a way of making 'news' and came up with this draft bill. Now according to some fu(*&&s in the US ebola is a response to our stupidity. I used to think America represents Democracy now i see it just an imposition of their beliefs to other society's. What did you guys do to the Indians you found there?????

  16. Africa,Russia and the Middle East have SO MANY REAL PROBLEMS(Ebola,EXTREME poverty,on and on) It's just sad and pathetic in 2014 that their leadership/citizens have not evolved in their /understanding and treatment of their fellow humans on this planet.
They treat women like slaves/servants. They treat gays with violence and prison/death sentences. They make their countries unwelcoming and UNSAFE for international travelers. WTF do they expect when they behave like animals?
