AllHipHop reports that in a Sundance Q&A, recording artist-turned-actor Kid Cudi lamented a gay scene that got cut from his new movie, James White (directed by Josh Mond).
Said Kudi:
I'm mad [Mond] cut out my kissing scenes with David [Call]…We made out so many times — and it was so good! That's my only gripe [with the film].
Kudi has also said the film was different from other things he's done, and that "it was dope…I felt like I had a responsibility to present a different walk in life from that world."
James White is "a frenetic coming of age story about a young New Yorker struggling to take control of his reckless, self destructive behavior in the face of momentous family challenges." The film also stars Cynthia Nixon and Christopher Abbott (Girls).
