New Zealand rower Robbie Manson has followed in the footsteps of Tom Daley to become the second out gay man to qualify for the 2016 Olympics.

While both Daley and Manson competed in the 2012 Olympics, neither had come out at that point.

Chris and I have been selected to represent New Zealand in the Double at the Rio Olympics in August 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷 After an extensive week of trials and a gruelling summer of racing we’ve managed to hold onto our seats in the boat we won a bronze medal in at last years World Champs. So excited for our second international season of racing together! The Hard Work continues.”
