Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin, who play Deadpool and Cable, respectively, in the now-filming sequel to Deadpool, have been getting ripped for their roles and this week engaged in a bit of friendly competition on Instagram.
After creator Rob Liefield posted a shot of a jacked Brolin with the caption “Mirror, Mirror, on the wall, I see the most awesome #Cable of all!! Crikey!!!”, Reynolds’ trainer responded with a shot of his client, and said “@joshbrolin , you still have some work to do. 😉”

Reynolds recently praised Brolin in the role:
“I think it’s going to be very interesting. I’ve spent this last week on the business end of many Josh Brolin punches. Both verbal and physical and literal and it’s going to be pretty fantastic. He’s going to be epic. He’s going to be an epic Cable.”

Reynolds appears in a Men’s Health cover story this month revealing his “laws for reinvention.”
Deadpool was seen filming stunts in Vancouver this week though it’s unknown whether it was Reynolds in the suit or a stand-in.
