Former Vampire Weekend band member Rostam (Batmanglij) has released a new single in the wake of his 2017 solo album Half-Light. It’s called “In a River” and is a folksy pastoral anthem about a romantic night out in the country with the man that you love.
Sings Rostam: “Slide into the cool mud underneath the pines / somewhere to your right or left is my body you can find / we are swimming with no clothes on / in a river in the dark / and I am holding on to you boy in the faint light of the stars.”
