Transgender Model Amanda Lepore Gets Enhanced with Bluetooth

Bluetooth headset manufacturer Jawbone continues its series of ads pushing the envelope of sexuality and gender, placing a facing page ad in this week's The New Yorker which features self-described "world's #1 transsexual" Amanda Lepore presumably having a chat with her plastic surgeon over the company's headset.

You may remember that back in February we featured an ad for Jawbone that was banned in the U.S. which featured a loud rugby team being silenced by the headset (and a hot man-on-man kiss).

It's Ryan Phillippe Flashback Time

I've posted a few clips of the Luke and Noah gay teen love story currently taking place on As the World Turns. One of our soap-loving tipsters has pointed us to a clip from One Life to Live from 1993 (on the right), which is remarkably similar to a scene that played out on As the World Turns just last week in which a dad confronts his gay son.

One Life to Live was one of Ryan Philippe's first acting jobs, which brings us to the second half of this post.

After the jump you'll find a clip shot by David LaChapelle for Armani featuring a very young, and very nude Ryan Philippe, as well as Amanda Lepore in her first video appearance for the director. Probably not safe for work for some, due to a brief cameo by Ryan's heiney.

Timothy Greenfield-Sanders Takes a Look at Fashion Week

Timothy Greenfield-Sanders pays homage to the personalities that populate New York's Fashion Week each season in Look: Portraits Backstage at Olympus Fashion Week, which (for those of you in New York) he'll be signing at Barnes & Noble on 6th avenue in Chelsea this Friday evening from 7-8pm. On hand to meet and greet will be Richie Rich & Traver Rains from Heatherette (who contributed an essay to the book) along with Amanda Lepore (above right, who contributed her curvaceous bod).

Others featured in the tome, which is Greenfield-Sanders' first since the porn star portraits of XXX, are Anna Wintour, Rufus Wainwright, Rosario Dawson, Anne Hathaway, Zac Posen, Hamish Bowles, and Carolina Herrera with essays from Alec Baldwin, Tinsley Mortimer, Zac Posen, Fern Mallis, Martha Nelson, Patrick McDonald, and Simon Dumenco

A portion of proceeds from the book sales will go to the Entertainment Industry Foundation's National Colorectal Cancer Research Alliance.
