Newcomer Robert Kazinsky Talks Steamy Gay 'True Blood' Shaving Scene: VIDEO

Kazinsky

British hunk Robert Kazinsky made quite the debut since his first "True Blood" episode, filming a hot and heavy man-on-man shaving scene with Ryan Kwanten this week and a passionate makeout sesh with Anna Paquin--as her husband and costar Stephen Moyer watched.

Toofab caught up with the actor at the premiere for Guillermo del Toro's "Pacific Rim"--Kazinsky plays one of the pilots of the film's giant robots--to ask about the filming the intimate scenes.  Not surprisingly, it turns out it's much less sexy filming such material than it is watching it.

"That was one of the hardest things I've ever shot in my life," Kazinsky told toofab, "solely because we couldn't keep a straight face. Not for one second."  We're sure you couldn't, Rob.

Check out toofab's video interview with Kazinsky, plus the "True Blood" scene in question, AFTER THE JUMP...

News: Gun Rally, Norovirus, Balkanization, 16-bit

1NewsIcon The New York Times' Charles M. Blow on the GOP's plans to discard the winner-take-all system that has been favoring Democrats: "One day I will have to visit the evil lair where they come up with these schemes. They pump them out like a factory. Voter suppression didn’t work in November, and it may even have backfired in some states, so they just devised another devilish plan."

BalkanizeAmerica1NewsIcon Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, an anti-gay Republican, also opposes the measure: "I think winner-take-all is part of how a state matters. Our side would have gotten more votes this go-around but you know I want people to want to fight to win the whole state. It makes the state as a state matter more... We need to build them up and not to Balkanize America. It's the states that created the federal government and not the other way around."

1NewsIcon And neither does Haley Barbour, the former governor of Mississippi.

1NewsIcon Good news: "Emmanuel Lutheran Church will vote Sunday to openly confirm its acceptance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender parishioners… The vote would confirm Emmanuel as a Reconciling in Christ congregation and make it the first Rockford church listed with Reconciling Works, which advocates for the full inclusion of LGBT Lutherans in all aspects of church life. Reconciling Works lists 5,893 open Lutheran congregations across the United States."

Anna Paquin: 'Being Bisexual Is Actually A Thing.'

AnnaPaquinBiTrue Blood actress Anna Paquin caused a stir in 2010 when she came out as bisexual, and two years later the topic continues to fascinate. Well, it fascinated a Zooey magazine journalist who broached the subject during a recent chat with the 29-year old.

"I’m sure for some people saying they’re bisexual feels less scary than making a statement that they’re gay," Paquin, currently married to co-star Stephen Moyer, said about her sexuality.

"For me, it’s not really an issue because I’m someone who believes being bisexual is actually a thing. It’s not made up. It’s not a lack of decision. It’s not being greedy or numerous other ignorant things I’ve heard at this point."

Paquin went on: "For a bisexual, it’s not about gender. That’s not the deciding factor for who they’re attracted to."

I would say that Paquin's advocacy on this topic is just as important as campaigning for same-sex equality. She's totally right: a lot of people dismiss bisexuality as a cop-out for people afraid to admit their they're gay. Paquin proves that, yes, actual bisexual people exist, and naysayers need to get over it.

'True Blood' Teases Flesh, Fangs of Season 5: VIDEO

Authority

The first True Blood teaser for Season 5 has arrived:

The first to actually show new footage and characters from the upcoming Season 5, the short 30-second clip gives a montage of scenes with a voiceover from an assumed Authority member (which will be led by Law & Order: SVU star Christopher Meloni as Roman). Clearly, the movement to have humans and vampires coexist isn’t on their agenda.

“So as the beetle nourishes the lark,” the ghostly voice says. “So shall human nourish vampire.”
