Bill O’Reilly: Gay Activists Using Threats and Intimidation to Win Marriage Battle - VIDEO

Oreilly

On Monday’s edition of The O’Reilly Factor, O’Reilly and his guest contributors discussed the controversial resignation of Mozilla CEO Brendan Eich over his $1000 donation to California’s anti-gay Proposition 8 campaign in 2008.

O’Reilly, for his part, thinks that the intimidation and fear tactics of gay activists have effectively silenced anyone with an opposing viewpoint on LGBT rights.

Said O’Reilly:

If you donate money to a traditional marriage cause, okay, we're going to hurt you. We're going to hurt you. We're going to find out where you live. We are going try to take your job. Maybe do vandalism to your home. [...]

Now there are threats and demonization. And that unfortunately, has put gay marriage over the top. That is the technique that turned the tide -- intimidation and harm. That's what won it.

Equality Matters responds:

While it's true that the names of donors to Proposition 8 are publicly available, there's no evidence of widespread intimidation or harassment by marriage equality supporters. The National Organization for Marriage (NOM), for example, has repeatedly tried and failed to demonstrate in court that supporters of Proposition 8 experienced serious "harm" from gay activists.

O'Reilly's latest diatribe contradicts his earlier declarations that supporters of marriage equality had won the battle of public opinion because of the strength of their arguments. In March of 2013, O'Reilly conceded that "the compelling argument is on the side of homosexuals," echoing his earlier statement that conservatives were losing the marriage debate because their case "wasn't strong enough."

Bill O'Reilly Demands Obama Explain How He's Unfair to Him: VIDEO

Oreilly

FOX News host Bill O'Reilly badgered an incredulous Obama demanding he explain if and how O'Reilly is unfair to him, in the second half of a their Super Bowl interview (the first half aired before the game).

"Do you think I'm unfair to you?

Absolutely. Of course you are, Bill. But I like you anyway.

Ok, but give me how I'm unfair. Give me how I'm unfair, come on, you can't make that accusation without telling me.

We just went through an interview in which you asked about health care not working, IRS, were we wholly corrupt, Benghazi. Right? So, the list of issues you talk about  — they’re defined by you guys in a certain way...

But if it's un — fair.  I wanna know if it's un—fair. Criticism is criticism. It's my job to give you a hard time. But if I'm unfair I wanna know.

Bill O'Reilly: Marriage Equality Will Cause 'a Fundamental Dissolution of Marriage in This Country' — VIDEO

2_oreilly

Marriage equality will cause "a fundamental dissolution of marriage in this country," FOX News host Bill O'Reilly argued on his show yesterday in a discussion of the recent Utah polygamy ruling in which a federal judge de-criminalizied a portion of Utah’s ban on polygamy.

Watch, AFTER THE JUMP...

In related news, Rick Santorum and NOM have been crowing about how the Utah ruling proves their "slippery slope" theories.

Tweeted Santorum: "Some times I hate it when what I predict comes true."

As has NOM's Brian Brown:

"This decision is the next step along the path blazed by same-sex marriage advocates who have convinced federal judges to transform the societal norm of marriage as the union of one man and one woman designed primarily for the benefit of any children produced of their union into an institution that recognizes intimate, romantic relationships between consenting adults," said Brian Brown, NOM's president. "For years, we have warned of the importance of preserving the norms of marriage and its definition as the union of one man and one woman. Now we see the next step in the path of consequences for abandoning those norms. Left on its current course, in a few years marriage could be unrecognizable."

Brown explained that Friday's decision stops short of imposing state-sanctioned polygamous marriages because the plaintiffs in the case did not specifically seek such relief. However, Brown said that with this decision advocates for polygamist marriage tee up the issue for the US Supreme Court to find polygamists entitled to official state-recognition of their plural 'marriages' just like gay and lesbian couples have been able to do in several states that have redefined marriage. The polygamy decision relies in large part on the same legal rationale utilized to impose same-sex marriage.

"There's no doubt that the arguments for same-sex marriage were a template for this case," Brown said. "Once marriage is determined to be primarily about providing government recognition and benefits for loving, committed relationships, there is simply no principled way not to extend 'marriage' to everyone, no matter the nature of their relationship. People in polygamist, plural marriages are just a short step away now from winning official marriage rights. Adult incest practitioners will have similar claims, as will adult siblings and other close relations. Lost in this disastrous push to transform marriage into the satisfaction of adult sexual desires are the interests of children, and their right to the love of one mother and one father."

Bill O'Reilly Defends Megyn Kelly: 'Santa Was a White Person' — VIDEO

Oreilly

Bill O'Reilly has Megyn Kelly's back on Santa, and also wants a piece of this year's biggest 'War on Christmas' headline. Although it doesn't matter that Santa was a white person, O'Reilly insists, "she's right, Santa was a white person."

And it's a big deal, according to O'Reilly because it's just the latest attempt by liberals to kill the all-powerful Faux News.

Bill O'Reilly Blesses Extremist Anti-Gay Group for Helping Him Fight 'The War on Christmas': VIDEO

Oreilly

On last night's The O'Reilly Factor, Bill O'Reilly warned that 'The War on Christmas' continues this year.

NapierDuring his segment, O'Reilly praised and blessed the extremist anti-gay organization Alliance Defending Freedom for helping him save the holiday, inviting its senior vice president Doug Napier on the show to talk about ADF's legal battles, Equality Matters reports:

What O'Reilly omitted from his praise of the ADF for "defending traditional rights" is that the group is "virulently anti-gay," as the Southern Poverty Law Center put it. ADF has fought against gay rights at every turn and linked homosexuality to pedophilia, even currently working internationally to criminalize homosexuality.

Fox News has a cozy relationship with the ADF -- the network's reports often lend preference to the ADF's discriminatory stances, and Fox figures have even solicited donations to the group.
