Calvin Klein's Concept Underwear ad featuring Matthew Terry was its first foray into Super Bowl advertising and brought ripped male torsos and motor oil to the game. Calvin Klein also took advantage of Twitter's new service Vine by pumping out short clips of Terry flexing and crunching for the cameras.

Calvin Klein's ex-boytoy Nick Gruber is not staying out of trouble, according to Page Six:
The troubled ex-boyfriend of Calvin Klein totaled current boyfriend John Luciano’s $100,000 BMW in a three-car accident in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon, reports The Post’s Kirsten Fleming. Even worse, Gruber was on a date with a woman when he had the crash.
Gruber was reportedly on a date with a woman at Six Flags Magic Mountain near L.A. before the accident, they add:
Gruber and the woman enjoyed the day at the theme park. But, Luciano said, on the way home, Gruber was broadsided by a PT Cruiser as he hung a left turn at Moorpark Street and Laurel Canyon Boulevard. The PT then smashed into another car and caught fire. The Beemer was wrecked, and Gruber went to Sherman Oaks Hospital after he suffered a broken nose and some bruises. None of the other passengers, including Gruber’s female date, was hurt. “The thing about Nick, he has a lead foot and rocks for brains,” Luciano quipped.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton today defended Ambassador Rice from GOP-led attacks and again pushed aside speculation that she'll run for the White House in 2016. "I'm frankly looking forward to returning to living a life that enjoys a lot of simple pleasures and gives me time for family and friends and other pursuits," she said.
Tim Cook, Apple's gay CEO, told NBC News' Brian Williams that the tech giant will start manufacturing a few of his products here in the States. "We’ve been working for years on doing more and more in the United States," he said. But don't expect a deluge of jobs, because Cook tells Businessweek the work done in the USA will be minimal: "Next year we’re going to bring some production to the U.S... This doesn’t mean that Apple will do it ourselves, but we’ll be working with people and we’ll be investing our money.”
Janee Harteau has been sworn in as the first female and first openly gay police chief of Minneapolis. "Thank you to my life-partner and better half, Holly. And for those of you who know us both, she's truly the better half," she said at the swearing in ceremony.

Get your Game of Thrones on.
Nick Gruber, famous for being designer Calvin Klein's former boyfriend, sat down for an interview with the New York Post's Page Six magazine and claims to be straight, that he presented a military sergeant with a bisexual porn he did to get out of service and that Klein hooked him up to a lie detector test to see if he was cheating.

Like Washington State, Maryland has started distributing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. "I started tearing up when I saw the marriage license; all of a sudden, it's right there in front of you," 34-year old Alli Harper, who plans to marry girlfriend Jennifer Monti, told the Herald Mail.
279 marriage licenses were given to same-sex couples during the first six hours of legality today.
The Coalition for the Protection of Marriage in Nevada is asking the Supreme Court to hear their case against equality, thereby bypassing an appeals court and perhaps intentionally delaying SCOTUS' consideration of same-sex nuptials. "In the past this year, it has appeared that the court held off on considering any of the petitions until all of them were fully briefed. And, with the court scheduled to discuss the 10 petitions at its conference on Friday, this petition could be a last-ditch effort to hold off a decision on which of those to hear," writes Chris Geidner.
A clue for the Doctor Who Christmas special?
Former Calvin Klein boytoy Nick Gruber says that Klein has hired a private investigator to follow him around:
For the last month, Gruber says he and his boyfriend, John Luciano, have been tracked by a cop-turned-gumshoe. Gruber tells Confidenti@l that he believes the investigator, a well-known P.I., was hired by Calvin Klein to watch his every move.
But the investigator isn’t sleuthing around incognito. On Monday, Gruber says the private eye got in a scuffle with Gruber and his friends at Toy’s Avenue A Soundcheck party in the Meatpacking District.
He also says the investigator approached the former porn star’s table and began shouting about how Luciano is connected to the mob and being followed by Federal agents. Gruber says the gumshoe showed up to his hotel yesterday morning as well.
Luciano said Klein probably misses Gruber. “I understand what it’s like to be broken-hearted, and I’m sure Calvin’s heartbroken,” he said. “Nick’s a great guy.”
He said that neither he nor Nick will take legal action against Klein or anyone hired to follow them.
Especially if they're carrying cameras for a reality show.
As reported in August, Calvin Klein's former boytoy Nick Gruber, who had a run-in with the law in April and subsequently entered a Klein-financed rehab session, is writing a book about his relationship with the fashion designer. He plans to accompany that with a reality show, Page Six reports:
“The show is basically about me being in a relationship with Calvin,” Gruber, who’s also penning a tell-all book, told us at the Sherri Hill show at Trump Tower Friday. “It’s also me trying to figure out who I am as a process of coming from his lifestyle from New York to LA [where he now lives], at the same time being the straight boy and still [liking] men and women.” So is Gruber, currently dating John Luciano, straight? “I don’t believe in labels,” he said, adding that his new beau allows him to see women.
Filming begins in January.
