(See the ad below that was aired at the height of the campaign and which resulted in Gantt going from a a lead in the polls to defeat on Election Day). Had Jesse Helms not had the handiwork of Finkelstein, who worked for Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and various right-wing senators, he might have lost that race. Instead, we had another decade of his antigay grip on the Republican Party, as he blocked HIV prevention measures and thousands more died."

LenDale has said something that on any other day might be considered gay, but, and this is key, he’s inoculated his heterosexuality by appending, no homo at the end. No homo also works at the front of the phrase but then it’s much less enjoyable because the other party has been keyed into the homosexuality of the statement that’s to follow. Hence, 'No homo. Vince you’ve got great nips.' No dice there."

It’s interesting,' he said. 'Sometimes you have to just sit back and look. The grassroots have changed dramatically.'"

Daniel Radcliffe's Butt will be a Skorcher on Broadway

Radcliffe

Daniel Radcliffe, bringing his nudity to Broadway in the fall for Equus, will likely be toning up a bit in the next few months.

The NYDN's Rush & Molloy report: Stopping by the gift lounge before Sunday's Tony Awards, the 'Harry Potter' star seemed too mindful of his nude scene in 'Equus,' due here in the fall. He grabbed himself a Skorcher Butt Machine. 'They don't have things like this in England,' he told us. 'We never get gifts!'"

Daniel Radcliffe Caught in Man-on-Man Kiss Ambush at Awards Show

Radcliffe1

Daniel Radcliffe won the "Newcomer of the Year" prize at the Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers’ Choice Awards at the Lyric Theatre in London on Sunday night. The awards was less of a shock for Radcliffe than what happened when he went to go collect it:

"But no one was more surprised than the actor himself when, as he approached the microphone to give his acceptance speech, Awards co-host James Corden passionately – and to wild applause – locked lips with him. Before he said his thank-yous, Radcliffe confessed to having a 'Madonna and Britney Spears' flashback."

Radcliffe2 Radcliffe3 Radcliffe4

Radcliffe appeared somewhat stunned by the advance but eventually seemed to take it in stride - see the full clip AFTER THE JUMP...

The "kiss" appears just after the 3:00 mark. It really looked like the host was not going to let go.

Former Versace Model Steve Jones Takes on Equus

Steve_jones

Former Welsh Versace model turned TV presenter Steve Jones, who is probably not too well known on these shores (he works for Channel 4 in the UK), was asked to do his best Daniel Radcliffe for Heat magazine. He comes off kind of like Radcliffe's hairier daddy.

Said Jones: "I was really chuffed with the picture. But frankly, I was a little nervous as I know Daniel Radcliffe is hung like a donkey (pardon the pun). Thankfully, the camera stopped just above my Hogwarts!"

Actually, I'm glad we didn't have to see warts of any kind.

Daniel Radcliffe: Dumbledore "Camping it Up" on Harry Potter Set

Daniel Radcliffe talked to British TV host Michael Parkinson on his talk show Parkinson over the weekend about his film My Boy Jack. Towards the end of the conversation, Parkinson brought up J.K. Rowling's recent revelation that wizard Dumbledore is gay, and asked how it has affected the recently-begun shooting of the sixth installment of the Potter series. Here's what Radcliffe had to say:

Potter_dumbledoreParkinson: And the revelation of course, that old Dumbledore is gay!

Radcliffe: Yeah, I know! That was hilarious!

Parkinson: I know. Does it make a difference on the set?

Radcliffe: [Michael Gambon has] been camping it up around the set like nobody's business. Not in the film. Although we actually did film a scene the other day, and I'd like to emphasize this point that the script was written before this revelation - I don't think [screenwriter] Steve Kloves had any prior knowledge. But there was a scene the other day where Michael had to come in and say to another character and tell him how much he loved knitting patterns..he just adored saying that.

Daniel Radcliffe on Playing Gay

Danielradcliffe

At a recent press junket in New York for his film December Boys, actor Daniel Radcliffe was asked if he'd ever consider playing a gay character:

Press: "Daniel, the parts that you’ve played so far, outside of the Harry Potter universe, what kind of sexuality in some aspect your characters are discovering their sensuality. I’m curious if you’ve ever considered playing a gay character from the aspect of being an actor."

Daniel: "I’d never play a gay character just for the sake of playing a gay character. If the script was good, and it was a good gay character then, I’m 18, and so the parts I’m going to be getting will be open for around that age range. And around that age range is when people are exploring sexuality, so those are the parts I think I will be involved in."

Radcliffe will be headed to Broadway to reprise his role in Equus in Spring 2008. Below, a recent appearance on Ellen in which he demonstrates he has a talented tongue.

Harry Potter Producer: Daniel Radcliffe Unquestionably Straight

Daniel_radcliffe

The new issue of Details features a cover story on Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter-mania ratchets up again, and the film's producer is there to let everyone know how he's grown:

"When I ask David Heyman, the producer of the Harry Potter franchise, how his star has changed in the seven years since he first cast him, he says that Radcliffe is basically still the same—full of enthusiasm and intense curiosity. But in other ways he is unrecognizable. 'He’s no longer interested in the World Wrestling Federation. He is astonishingly well-read,' Heyman says. 'And he is unquestionably interested in the opposite sex.' And then there is that relentless compulsion to show off his body. One startled British tabloid saw his nude scene in Equus and headlined an article hairy botter. 'First, it’s a crap pun because botter isn’t even a word,' Radcliffe says. 'But equally it’s that thing of being shocked that I should have hair—you know, anywhere else other than on my head. It’s not so much that they don’t want me to grow up. It’s that they’re annoyed that I’m growing up adjusted. They’d much rather I was growing up and going wild and crashing cars.'"

In the mainstream world, the agent for Jennifer Hudson [an Oscar nominee for the movie Dreamgirls, a David Geffen property] can now get her twice the money. In my business, you try to get bigger money and the studios say, 'Nah, we'll pass.' It exasperates me that they won't take it to the next level. There's always a new guy. People have bought billions of dollars worth of music from Apple because it offered a better user experience. But no one bought for the DRM. Some people bought in spite of it, some bought in ignorance of it, but there's no customer for whom DRM is a selling point. No one woke up this morning wishing for a way to do less with her music."

Daniel Radcliffe Equus Promos

Equus1 Equus2

Two months after the release of the charged Equus poster, 17-year-old Daniel Radcliffe has galloped further from his Harry Potter image with a set of salacious promo photos for the West End production.

Considering Radcliffe's age, the photos have sent shock waves out to some loyal Potter fans, although the play's producer David Pugh, had an entirely different reaction: "There was no hesitancy about taking his clothes off - he has a confidence in his own appearance. With the performances that I've witnessed, when that boy takes his shirt off, Harry Potter has flown out of Hogwarts for good. We had never seen Dan with clothes off before. We all went 'wow!'."

Harry Potter's Daniel Radcliffe, Naked in Equus

Equus

Daniel Radcliffe is appearing in the London stage production of Equus:

"The play, about a young man's attacks on horses and a psychiatrist's attempt to explain them, is altogether different fare from what Potter fans are used to, requiring his character Alan Strang to appear naked on stage."

The poster, which uses Radcliffe's nipples as a fusion point as his body morphs into the head of the horse, is a graphic triumph.
