Towleroad has obtained some exclusive stills from an as-yet-untitled new gay scripted series created by Larry Kennar, Executive Producer of The L Word, about a group of friends in downtown L.A.

According to our tipster, it steers clear of cookie-cutter WeHo clones and thrusts us deep into the gritty world of hipsters and urban professionals.  The show is scripted but shot cinema-verité style, is still untitled, and keeps it raw and in your face " with dark humor and explicit humanity." Further details are being kept quiet as a certain network is negotiating the rights to air the series.

Filming began Monday.

Following are some stills of Darryl Stephens (Noah's Arc),one of the stars in the ensemble cast, getting steamy and intimate with a character played by Danny Roberts (The Real World: New Orleans).

Check them out (possibly not sfw), AFTER THE JUMP...

Wilson Cruz and Darryl Stephens Can Do It!

Cruaz

The Open Artist Movement has started a new photo campaign which takes as its inspiration the well-known World War II 'We Can Do It' posters by graphic artist J. Howard Miller in support of the war effort.

John Ganun and the OAM have found a selection of actors, models, and activists eager to flex their biceps in a first round of prints. The campaign is an effort to show solidarity with "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" repeal efforts and other LGBT causes.

Wilson Cruz and Darryl Stephens are featured here. Reichen, model Stephanie Roberts, and activist Andrew Oldershaw are some of the others.

Noah's Arc Star Darryl Stephens Comes Out Quietly

Stephens

Honored as one of "The Serialists" in this year's OUT 100, Noah's Arc star Darryl Stephens is still apparently not talking about his sexuality, but as OUT reports, in this case actions speak louder than words:

"And, in a year of revolving closet doors for TV actors, we can also offer one long-anticipated quiet confirmation: Noah's Arc star Darryl Stephens, who has declined to discuss his sexuality while playing a series of nuanced gay roles. He doesn't exactly talk about it, but he proudly joins the other queer honorees in our pages."

And he also gets gorgeous portrait treatment from photographer Francois Rousseau.
