Pastor John Hagee: 'Counterfeit Christians' Supporting LGBT Rights Are America's Biggest Threat: VIDEO

Screen Shot 2014-08-08 at 12.13.11 PM

For televangelist John Hagee the biggest threat facing Americans today are those “counterfeit Christians” whom, amongst other things, either endorse womens’ open access to abortions or support LGBT rights to marriage. Hagee, known for founding San Antinio’s Cornerstone Megachurch, has made a name for himself  through John Hagee Ministries, his series of radio and television ministries that are broadcast to over 150 million households in North America.

“Those of you who got on national television and endorsed homosexual lifestyle because the president did so, you are a counterfeit Christian, you are a moral coward, you are a hireling shepherd,” Hagee said, condemning the increasing number of pastors that are accepting of homosexuality. “Shame on you.”

Screen Shot 2014-04-14 at 5.18.14 PM

To help prepare you for tonight’s ‘total lunar eclipse, the folks over at NASA have prepared a handy video to fill you in on the science behind the ‘blood moon.’

I think the eclipse probably something to do with vampires, but Texas pastor and televangelist John Hagee is claiming it’s a sign of the End Times. No word yet if he’s blaming it on the gays like he did with Hurricane Katrina though...

Check out the video, AFTER THE JUMP...

FYI: The eclipse begins around 12:53 am ET and will reach totality around 3am ET

Hagee: DOMA Ruling Is A Sign 'That The Rapture...Is About To Occur' - VIDEO

Matthew Hagee

It's been more than two weeks since the Supreme Court handed down the decision that gutted the Defense of Marriage Act, and anti-gay activists continue to decry and bemoan that fact. However, if Matthew Hagee of the show "Hagee Hotline" is at all correct in his recent assertion, said activists might not have to live in a post-DOMA world for much longer.

While answering a viewer question, Hagee, son of controversial pastor John Hagee, pulled an excerpt from Luke 17:21-30: "just as it was in the days of Noah [and] Lot ... so will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed." In his subsequent explanation, "the days of Noah" is meant to indicate a time when "men were Agnostic, not believing in God," and "the days of Lot" is meant to refer to a time when "men had given up the natural affections for women and were lying with other men." Despite the fact that Agnosticism and homosexuality have existed for centuries now, Hagee still cautioned "we have all of those things happening in the world around us."

To put things in a more contemporary context, Hagee then cited the Supreme Court's decision for Windsor v. United States

"That's something that would have been applauded in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah.  So when you see these things similar to the days of Noah and similar to the days of Lot, it's very easy to know that the rapture of the church is about to occur."

Pastor John Hagee Calls Gay Marriage 'Two Disturbed People Playing House' - VIDEO

Hagee

Pastor John Hagee was taking questions from viewers of his show "The Hagee Hotline" yesterday about gay marriage and being in God's favor. Hagee responded by saying anything other than a man marrying a woman is "two disturbed people playing house" Right Wing Watch reports.

Watch, AFTER THE JUMP...

Hagee, you may recall, gave a sermon in 1990 that says Hitler acted on God's behalf in "hunting" the Jews so that they might establish Israel, and has made disparaging remarks about Catholics (for which he apologized) and has also said that gay sin was responsible for Hurricane Katrina. John McCain was forced to cut ties with Hagee during the 2008 election. Last year Hagee warned that DOMA repeal would lead to polygamy.

Pastor John Hagee: Gays are Destroying America's 'Purity' -VIDEO

Hagee

Pastor and televangelist John Hagee is still spouting off his anti-gay rhetoric.

At a recent sermon, Hagee declared that gays are defiling America's "purity", Right Wing Watch reports:

“America does not have purity when men marry men and women marry women, it does not have purity.”

MP Protests Anti-Gay Pastor's UK Visit

John_Hagee The United Kingdom regularly bars incendiary public figures from entering their territory.

Homophobic and racist radio host Michael Savage, for example, was banned in 2009, as were Westboro Baptist Church's Fred and Shirley Phelps.

And Islamic leader named Sheikh Raed Salah, who regularly espouses anti-Israeli sentiment, has also been banned from Britain.

Why, then, the UK is allowing American pastor John Hagee, a man who claims God sent Hurricane Katrina to punish New Orleans' gay-inclusive culture, to romp around their soil?

That's what Labour MP Richard Burden is asking as he protests Hagee's upcoming appearance at Birmingham Symphony Hall.
