FOX News Anchor Megyn Kelly: Santa and Jesus Were White — VIDEO

Kelly

Megyn Kelly and a FOX News panel discuss a Slate article by Aisha Harris suggesting that it's time for the stereotypical white Santa to get a makeover. Kelly is not going to let that happen, and by the way, Jesus is white too.

P.S. - How 'bout a gay Santa?

FOX News Anchor Megyn Kelly Asks Hate Group Leader Tony Perkins Why Gay Activists are So Intolerant: VIDEO

Kelly_perkins

Near the end of a segment about the suicide of Rick Warren's son, FOX News anchor Megyn Kelly turned her attention to the issue of gay rights, and seemed to support hate group leader Tony Perkins' and other religious right hatemongers' assertions that Christians are being victimized and oppressed by those who support equality.

KELLY: A lot of people thought, think, that Pastor Warren is on the wrong side of the gay marriage issue. You can relate to him in this way – not the being on the wrong side, I’m not passing a judgment on that – but you also oppose gay marriage and have been the subject of attacks, and it seems like some, not all, but some of those who want tolerance and acceptance, in their effort to get it, are very willing to pass judgment, alienate, attack, and go about it in a way that may be undermining the very thing they seek.

PERKINS: Absolutely, I think you’re absolutely correct. I mean, just to show a little bit of human compassion to a parent who has lost a child would go a long way in showing that they just want to be accepted and enjoy tolerance.

Bill O'Reilly Defends Gay Marriage, Says 'Bible Thumping' is Losing: VIDEO

B_oreilly

Bill O'Reilly said he's "fine" with gay marriage in a conversation with Megyn Kelly on FOX News last night.

Said O'Reilly:

The compelling argument is on the side of homosexuals. That's where the compelling argument is. 'We're Americans, we just want to be treated like everybody else.' That’s a compelling argument. And to deny that, you’ve got to have a very strong argument on the other side. And the other side hasn’t been able to do anything but thump the Bible."

Adding:

I support civil unions, I always have. Alright. The gay marriage thing, I don’t feel that strongly about it one way or the other. I think the states should do it. Right. New York has it now. I live in New York, New York has it, I'm fine with it. I want all Americans to be happy, I do.

Maggie Gallagher: Pro-Gay Ruling from SCOTUS Would 'Take Away Something Very Precious' from Americans - VIDEO

Fox_gallagher

NOM's Maggie Gallagher, who was also seen wandering through the pro-equality rally today, appeared on FOX News today to give her take on the Supreme Court and Proposition 8, facing off against former Clinton aide Richard Socarides, Equality Matters reports.

Said Gallagher:

"For the Supreme Court to brand this view as irrational bigotry akin to racial discrimination would not end the culture wars, it would entrench them, and it would take away something very precious, which is the right of seven million Californians to use the democratic process to make our case to the American people. And so, I certainly think trying that to persuade the American people that the Constitution drafted by our Founding Fathers in 1789 has always required gay marriage is a long stretch and I’m hopeful that the Supreme Court will uphold Prop 8."

Megyn Kelly: Why is Anti-Gay Discrimination Any Different Than That Against Women and Blacks? - VIDEO

Kelly

“This country has a long history of discrimination against certain groups. Eventually we wind up getting it right. Right? Against women, against blacks, the civil rights movement and so on. And in justifying that discrimination when it was in place, some folks turn to the Bible and turn to their religious beliefs and said we have to have slavery because it’s in the Bible. Women have to be second-class citizens because that’s in the Bible. Blacks and whites can’t get married because that’s in the Bible. That wound up in a case. A judge wrote that in an opinion, which the Supreme Court ultimately struck that down, saying that’s not right, judge—the Equal Protection clause says you can't do that. Why is gay marriage any different?”
