Radio Host Michael Savage: Hillary Clinton's 'Frightening Face' Could Sink Her Campaign - LISTEN

6a00d8341c730253ef0133f240c06b970b-200wiIf nothing else good comes of it, at least Hillary Clinton’s presidential run has given anti-gay activists an opportunity to reveal their misogyny along with their rabid homophobia.

In an eye-opening announcement last week, Don Feder, the president of “pro-family” hate group World Congress of Families, said that Hillary Clinton can’t be president because she is “profoundly ugly.”

Following in Feder’s footsteps, right wing talk show host Michael Savage said that it’s not right to attack Clinton for her looks or “ridicule her physically” but - obviously - went on to do so anyway:

“She’s the nice woman, the TV ad shows her with gay couples — like that’s the most important thing on earth, the happy gay couple. She’s ‘hitting the road to earn your vote,’ she hasn’t driven a car in 20 years but she’s one of us, the pancake woman.

"I can look at it, the pantsuits — I don’t want to go into the weight thing, that’s not fair, because time and gravity is unfair to all of us, so let’s put that aside, let’s not talk about her looks. But her looks alone could sink the campaign. From the neck up, forget about the neck down. We’re not going to ridicule her physically, it happens to all — but the head up, I’m telling you, do you want to look at that for eight years? Do you really want to have that face staring at you for eight straight years? That frightening face?”

UK Upholds Ban on Anti-Gay, Racist Radio Host Michael Savage

Radio host Michael Savage, who has called same-sex marriage "a victory for perversion" and has said the "homosexual mafia is raping children's minds," continues to be banned from entering the UK, WingNut Daily reports:

Savage "Savage today called his ordeal a 'true nightmare of Kafka.' ...  'The 'new' British government continues 'the big lie' initiated by the previous British government, all based on extracts of radio programs over many years edited by Soros-backed Media Matters to slander me,' he told WND. Savage said that after "over one straight year of legal hell, I had hoped the new British government would remove my name from their list of actual murderers and terrorists."

Savage said he's going to take his case to the European Court of Human Rights. "The European Union seems to be very forgiving of those who have actually murdered people in terror acts. Let's see if they will defend my right to free speech."

According to WND: "The U.K. ban-list includes Hamas terrorist leader Yunis Al-Astal, former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard Stephen Donald Black, neo-Nazi Erich Gliebe and radical American pastor Fred Phelps, known for his virulent anti-gay protests at funerals. The British government's letter today, signed for the treasury solicitor by Katrina Leonard-Johnson, explains Savage was 'excluded from the UK for engaging in unacceptable behaviour by expressing views that seek to provoke others to serious criminal acts and fostering hatred which might lead to inter-community violence.' The government, however, has not cited any specific statements made by Savage."

Prime Minister David Cameron's government told Savage he will continue to be barred until he repudiates past hateful statements.

The New Yorker embraces hatemonger and birther nut radio host Michael Savage. Media Matters: "Savage doesn't preach hate. (That's so cliché, people.) Instead, the host merely engages in some old-fashioned 'rabble rousing.' Sure, he broadcasts an 'antipathy for liberals.' And yes, he does show flashes of an 'immoderate' and 'incendiary style.' But deep down, Savage is really just a throwback to 'garrulous old-school New York radio personalities.' In fact, Savage isn't all that much different than famed shock jock Howard Stern. Besides, The New Yorker loves the 'counter-culture feel' of Savage's program."

ROCKSTAR Disavows Michael Savage, Asserts LGBT Support

SafariScreenSnapz001 After netroots and community action, ROCKSTAR Energy Drink (the company accused of an affiliation with hatemonger Michael Savage, the father of ROCKSTAR's founder) is addressing LGBT concerns by releasing a statement affirming its support for gay rights, is expanding its LGBT-friendly policies and will donate $100,000 to various LGBT organizations.

ROCKSTAR's CEO Russell Weiner says, "It has recently come to ROCKSTAR's attention that there might be a misconception about our company's policy and my personal support for LGBT rights. We apologize for that misunderstanding, and want to make clear today that our company fully supports our LGBT employees and our LGBT customers."

Change.org first posted concerns about ROCKSTAR in April, and has been instrumental in making this come about, with assistance from The Bilerico Project, The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada, The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, The Trevor Project and PageOneQ.

I'll drink to that.

Gavin Newsom to Return $25K Contribution from Savage Family

San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom will return a $25,000 campaign contribution from Russell Weiner, CEO of Rockstar Energy Drinks and the son of homophobic racist radio host Michael Savage:

Savageweiner "...the move...comes after a progressive activist in San Francisco, Aaron Baldwin, asked the Newsom campaign to reject the May 11, 2009 contribution of $25,000 from Russell Weiner, the CEO of Rockstar Energy Drinks. The company which was founded in Nevada in 2001 promotes a popular energy beverage -- but is a family business, charges Baldwin. Janet Weiner, the wife of Savage -- real name, Michael Weiner -- is the chief financial officer for both Savage Productions and Rockstar, documents show. Baldwin told us he contacted Eric Jaye, the Newsom campaign consultant, to inform him of a campaign called "The Truth About Rockstar.'' He said 10,000 have already signed up on Facebook to now promote a boycott of the energy drink based on Savage's alleged links with the brand."

Savage told the SF Chronicle: "I had nothing to do with the founding or creation of Rockstar. These are my political enemies, trying to hurt me through my son. [It's a] McCarthyesque smear campaign.''

UK Home Secretary Jacqui Smith recently announced that Michael Savage was banned from entering the UK over his inflammatory, violence-inciting hate speech.

Extremist Radio Host Michael Savage to Sue UK Home Secretary

Homophobic, racist radio host Michael Savage is pissed he's banned from the UK and has vowed to sue "pork eater witch" Home Secretary Jacqui Smith:

Savage "Smith told BBC Breakfast that Savage was 'someone who has fallen into the category of fomenting hatred, of such extreme views and expressing them in such a way that it is actually likely to cause inter-community tension or even violence if that person were allowed into the country'. But Savage, whose real name is Michael Weiner, insisted he had never advocated violence."

He also hung up on NPR yesterday after a caller slammed him for his extremist views.

Listen to clips in which he says he's going to sue UK Home Secretary Jacqui Smith, as well as the hang-up clip, AFTER THE JUMP...
