Pat Buchanan and Linda Harvey Call for 'Civil Disobedience' In the Fight Against Gay Marriage: AUDIO

Former MSNBC host and "culture warrior" Pat Buchanan and right-wing nutbag Linda Harvey appear to have synced up their bigoted calendars this week - as both are now calling for Christians to rise up in mass "civil disobedience" against the Supreme Court's gay marriage decision Monday.

Writing over at World Net Daily, Buchanan explains how the Supreme Court's decision this week is really just part of its wider agenda imposing the religion of "secular humanism" on the American public:

The Supreme Court has ordered the de-Christianization of all public institutions in what was a predominantly Christian country. Christian holy days, holidays, Bibles, books, prayers and invocations were all declared to be impermissible in public schools and the public square.

Secular humanism became, through Supreme Court edict, our established religion in the United States.

And the American people took it.

Why was there not massive civil disobedience against this anti-Christian discrimination, as there was against segregation? Why did Congress, which has the power to abolish every federal district and appellate court and to restrict the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court, not act?

Similarly, Linda Harvey warned on her radio show yesterday:

This is attempted theft of what God has ordained and our Lord will not honor this lawlessness. Allowing homosexuality to become normal in America may certainly be part of God’s judgment on our once-Christian nation for our irresponsible sexual practices and for turning our back on what the Lord has taught us. Even so, God will at some point allow the consequences of such defiance to play itself out and that will be a very tragic day indeed for those who have thumbed their noses at the Lord as they celebrate sin...pray friends for how God would use you as we enter a time of possible civil disobedience. We must not serve the interests of sin and darkness.

Pat Buchanan Endorses Russian Bigotry

Pat Buchanan
Former MSNBC host, thrice-failed presidential candidate, anti-semite, and fan of Hitler Pat Buchanan reminds us of his proud homophobia in an article he wrote for World Net Daily championing Russia's war on homosexuals. The piece contains the usual religous dogma, historical innacuracies, and false equivalencies:

Only yesterday, homosexual sodomy, which Thomas Jefferson said should be treated like rape, was outlawed in many states and same-sex marriage was regarded as an absurdity. Was that America we grew up in really like Nazi Germany? In the Catholic schools this writer attended, pornography – let alone homosexual propaganda – would get one expelled.

Nevermind that the American government is not a theocracy, Jefferson wasn't a homophobe, many of our founding fathers were fine with slavery and treating black people like property, and despite both beginning with "p", pornogrophy and propaganda are not the same thing.

Pat Buchanan Out at MSNBC, Blames 'Militant Gays', 'People of Color'

Speaking about himself in the third person, Pat Buchanan blamed gays and "people of color" for his firing by MSNBC network president Phil Griffin following outrage over his book  Suicide of a Superpower, Think Progress LGBT reports.

BuchananSaid Buchanan: “Look, for a long period of time the hard left, militant gay rights groups, militant — they call themselves civil rights groups, but I’m not sure they’re concerned about civil rights — people of color, Van Jones, these folks and others have been out to get Pat Buchanan off T.V., deny him speeches, get his column canceled.”

GLAAD's Aaron McQuade applauds: "But just as Pat writes what he believes to be the truth (in chapters with titles like “The End of White America”) so do those of us who believe that divisive and discriminatory voices like his have no place in rational discussions about the issues facing our country...We hope MSNBC stands by its decision not to lend its credibility to Pat Buchanan’s vile and anti-everything comments, and keeps him off the air.  (And of course, we look forward to seeing him become a regular on Sean Hannity’s show, likely within minutes of his removal from MSNBC becoming official.)"

Pat Buchanan: Obama 'Capitulated' to 'Militant' Gays on DOMA

Equality Matters' Richard Socarides and Pat Buchanan faced off regarding the DOMA news tonight on Hardball. Buchanan says Obama capitulated to members of the "militant" gay community.

Says Buchanan: "Moral truth exists and it does not change and all things are not equal."

Replies Socarides: "People's views on these things change. Even you're evolving on this Pat, I can tell."

Socarides then touches Buchanan's arm, inspiring Matthews to quip, "You're not going to change his mind by cupping his elbow."

Buchanan laughs, then checks his sleeve.
