Pat Robertson: Love Your Gay Daughter by Rejecting Her — VIDEO

Robertson

A viewer wrote in to Pat Robertson asking how she should respond to her daughter who recently came out of the closet, Right Wing Watch reports.

Said Robertson:

“You want to be loving and warm and let them know that you love them, BUT you cannot accept it and you cannot be an enabler. If they’re living together as a homosexual and you’re a Christian you cannot say I accept this lifestyle. Right now there’s an incredible barrage of activity forcing people to accept the homosexual lifestyle. Well, do we accept adultery? Do we accept fornication? Do we accept immorality?  Well, the answer is no. I don’t think we ought to be accepting of it.”

Pat Robertson Warns That Watching Horror Movies Could Lead To Demonic Possession: VIDEO

Pat Robertson

Continuing the topic of Satanic influences in cinema, Pat Robertson is warning the viewers of his show that watching horror films could lead them to be cursed or possessed by demons.

Citing a second-hand story he heard at some unspecified point in the past, Robertson tells of a teenage girl who was demon-possessed, and attempts to cast the demon out were met with the rebuke from the hell-spawn itself (presumably) that it "had permission" that was granted when she went to "some double-X movie." The only course of action that his frightned viewer who wrote in asking if she were cursed or possessed can take is to command the demon to leave and ask for God's forgiveness for watching such an unholy production.

Pat Robertson: Impeach Eric Holder for ‘Elevating’ Sodomy Above Religious Freedom - VIDEO

Screen Shot 2014-02-26 at 2.27.58 PM

In response to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder’s declaration that state attorney generals are not obligated to defend state laws banning same-sex marriage, televangelist Pat Robertson called for Holder's impeachment and resignation.

Said Robertson:

“What we’re seeing now more and more is the rights of homosexuals, the practice of homosexuality, sodomy, consensual sodomy, is being raised and elevated above the rights of religious believers and that is terrible,”

Right Wing Watch reports that Robertson also defended state bans on same-sex marriage, saying the issue "has nothing to do with limiting homosexuals, it has to do with giving religious people the right to practice their religious freedom freely."

A similar "gay discrimination isn't discrimination" argument has been the go-to talking point among right-wingers in Arizona and Kansas in regards to legislation that would allow religious-based discrimination against gays. Supporters say these bills are simply meant to protect religious liberties and even help protect the rights of LGBT citizens.

Pat Robertson Knocks Creationist Ken Ham for 'Making a Joke of Himself' at Debate: VIDEO

Robertson

Televangelist Pat Robertson reacted to last night's debate between 'Science Guy' Bill Nye and creationist Ken Ham by attacking Ham.

Robertson doesn't "believe in evolution as nontheistic" but he begs creationist Ken Ham to "not make a joke of ourselves" with his ridiculous theory that everything on Earth has been around for a few thousand years.:

"Let’s face it, there was a bishop [Ussher] who added up the dates listed in Genesis and he came up with the world had been around for 6,000 years. There ain’t no way that’s possible. To say that it all came about in 6,000 years is just nonsense and I think it’s time we come off of that stuff and say this isn’t possible."

He added: "Let’s be real, let’s not make a joke of ourselves."

Pat Robertson: Don't Invite Lesbians to Your Home Because They Might Convert Your Kids — VIDEO

Lesbians_robertson

On today's 700 Club, Pat Robertson answered a question from a viewer who was worried about inviting a lesbian friend over to her home, Right Wing Watch reports. Robertson responded that she is right to be wary because if her kids see a lesbian they might decide to become one.

Says Robertson:

“You keep love, you loved her, you were close and your influence may have something significant to her, the idea is you don’t gain anything by shunning. But at the same you don’t want your children to grow up as lesbians, that’s what you’re talking about, you don’t want to show them that that’s an acceptable lifestyle for your family....It doesn’t hurt to tell somebody: I love you, we are going to do what we can to be friends if we can. I have my lifestyle, it’s Christian and you have yours, it’s not; I’m sorry we can’t indulge in certain things together.”
