Cristiano Ronaldo: Boxing, Bongos, and What Feels Good

Cristiano Ronaldo was spotted shopping again in Wilmslow in Cheshire, UK over the weekend where the footballer demonstrated his skill for accessorizing as well as the best in the sport.
He also revealed some of his relaxation techniques to a Portuguese TV station over the weekend:
"In an interview on Portuguese TV, the 21-year-old winger lifted the lid on how he unwinds at home, away from the high-profile arena of top-flight football. He said: 'When I was mad once I put a television set up in a tree in my garden and tried to knock it down by kicking a football at it. And it worked! I was mad, really p***** off. I play football in my garden. I even broke a window once when we were playing outside. I made a pass to my cousin Nuno but the ball hit the glass and broke it! I also have boxing gloves to hit something or someone to relieve stress. And I like to play the Jambe - bongo drums - because it feels good.' Cristiano also admitted that he does not handle defeat well, and usually ends up hiding away in his spare bedroom after a bad day at the office. 'Sometimes when I perform badly or when things don't go the way I want them to, I come straight home,' he said. 'I eat something, follow the stairs, turn left, enter the small bedroom and lock the door. I just stay there.'"
And once in in the bedroom, additional relaxation techniques begin.

Cristiano Ronaldo Plays Ball with Mere Mortals

Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo spent some downtime away from the Soccer gods following a World Cup that proved to be less than what he expected. And of course the best way to feel better about oneself is to play ball against people you know you can beat for sure.
Cristiano has recently made public his desire to leave Manchester United and play for Real Madrid but the British club says it has no intention of letting the hot Portuguese player out of his contract. Of course, winning or losing, Ronaldo is welcome in our court anytime. More shots follow after the jump...

Cristiano Ronaldo Gets Stretched

Reuters caption: "Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo receives special training during World Cup training session in Marienfeld June 28, 2006." I'd say that's pretty special, for the trainer.
My Mac is heading into the shop this morning for some surgery related to the meltdown it had three weeks ago, so posting will be down till I get it back. Keep your fingers crossed that I'll have it out sometime this afternoon, as that's what they're promising me. Check back later. I'll see you on the other side.

Brokeback-inspired Cow Parade Ad
If the CowParade has been to your city, then it needs no explanation. If it hasn't, well, it's a traveling public art project consisting of 100 or so painted cows that has been hitting cities around the world. The cows are on their way to Lisbon, Portugal, and a great Brokeback-inspired ad has been produced to promote them. Check it out and watch the Ennis and Jack look-alikes smolder.
