Pastor Robert Jeffress: Obama Is Paving The Way For The Antichrist

Robert Jeffress

Dallas megachurch pastor Robert Jeffress has written a new book about spiritually preparing for the end times and the second coming of Jesus entitled Perfect Ending: Why Your Eternal Future Matters Today, which presently has a perfect 5-star rating on Amazon due to the dozen or so laughably obvious plants who have only reviewed Perfect Ending or only books by Jeffress.

And the reason that Jeffress is convinced that the end times are coming, beyond it being the standard fetish for evangelical preachers? Obama, of course. And gay marriage. In his book he writes:

For the first time in history a president of our country has openly proposed altering one of society’s (not to mention God’s) most fundamental laws: that marriage should be between a man and a woman. While I am not suggesting that President Obama is the Antichrist, the fact that he was able to propose such a sweeping change in God’s law and still win reelection by a comfortable margin illustrates how a future world leader will be able to oppose God’s laws without any repercussions.

So because Obama has taken his own steps to allow gay couples to be legally-recognized in the U.S., the path has been cleared for an easy takeover by the antichrist. That's not the least bit insane.

Pastor Robert Jeffress Defends Phil Robertson, Asserts Gays Are Sexual Threat To Children

Robert Jeffress

First Baptist Church of Dallas pastor Robert Jeffress was brought on to CNN's "New Day" to discuss the never-ending Duck Dynasty controversy. Jeffress, who was dumped by Tim Tebow and compared gay sex to plugging a TV into the wrong outlet, predictably took Phll Robertson's side with the standard tired defenses that Robertson was merely expressing the beliefs and moral standards outlined in the Bible. Said Jeffress:

He is simply quoting what Paul says in Romans 1. Now, people may not agree with that, they may want to attach some new interpretation to it, but people don't have the right to label Phil or me or tens of millions of evangelical Christians as hateful because we hold to a historical understanding of the Bible.

Except that people DO have that right. Just as Robertson has the explicit right to hatefully compare homosexuality to bestiality, adultery, drunkenness, deception, and the rest, people who took offense to his hatred have the right to call it what it is. CNN host Victor took the opportunity to question Jeffress' education on homosexual issues, challenging his past statement that homosexuals were a disproportionate threat as child molesters, asking:

Where is that in the Bible, or in science?

Jeffress claimed that his assertion was true and made a feeble dodge, saying to consult the book he wrote for the sources Victor asked for.

Texas Megachurch Pastor Compares Gay Sex to Plugging a TV into the Wrong Outlet and 'Blowing it to Smithereens': VIDEO

Jeffress

Robert Jeffress, the Texas megachurch pastor who recently got dumped by Tim Tebow, last week offered a graphic description of what happens during gay sex during on an appearance on the Trinity Broadcasting Network's program Praise the Lord, Right Wing Watch reports.

Said Jeffress:

I want you to think about this, one time in Heaven, God was sitting up there with his sketch pad and he said, ‘You know, I’m going to design human beings and wouldn’t it be fun if they started doing this together with one another?’ I mean, think about it. God dreamed up sex! He thought it up for our enjoyment! He gave us the equipment to enjoy it with.

And here's how it operates. It should be between a man and a woman, and it should be in the security of a marriage relationship....

Then Jefress goes into the TV comparison:

You know, in the instruction manual, it said, now plug this into a 120 outlet. Suppose I said, ‘Oh, I’m not going to follow those instructions, those are antiquated instructions. I’m going to plug it into a 220 outlet. It’s my TV and I can do whatever I want to with it. Well, it is my TV to do what I want to with it, but I’m going to blow that TV to smithereens if I put it in a 220 outlet!

Anti-Gay Megachurch Pastor Robert Jeffress Responds to Tebow Controversy in Sunday Sermon: VIDEO

Sermon_jeffress

In his Sunday sermon at the Frist Baptist Church in Dallas, Dr. Robert Jeffress responded to the controversy surrounding Tim Tebow's now canceled plans to speak to the church, and the positions that led to public outcry, Think Progress reports.

Said Jeffress:

You know, it is an amazing thing to me that a church is called anti-Semitic simply because we preach that everyone — Jew, Baptist, Catholic, Hindu, atheist — everyone must trust in Christ in order to go to Heaven. It’s amazing to me that we’re called anti-gay simply because we say sex ought to be between a man and a woman in marriage; somehow that’s construed to be anti-gay. [...]

The bad news is there is such a thing called sin, and the Bible says we are all guilty of it, and we are all headed for an eternity of separation from God. But it the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is it doesn’t matter who you are or what you have done. It doesn’t matter whether you were a Jew, a Baptist, a Catholic, a Muslim, a Hindu, a homosexual, an adulterer, a thief, or a cheat. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done, you can be forgive of your sins if you trust in Jesus Christ as your savior. That’s not a message of hate; that’s a message of hope.
