Bear Spoof Of GoDaddy's Bodybuilder Ad: VIDEO

BearDance parody

Last week web host provider GoDaddy deviated a bit from their normal marketing method of using scantily-clad women to sell their hosting services with a commercial featuring scantily-clad male bodybuilders sprinting to the tanning salon. The guys behind BearDance took the idea and ran with it for a cute spoof to advertise their March party.

Whether you like 'em brawny or fluffy we've embedded both so you can compare the spoof to the original AFTER THE JUMP...

Can You Spot a Straight Man?: VIDEO

Straightwatching

Growing up in the closet means most gay men have a finely tuned "gaydar" that allows them to identify other gay men by picking up on the subtle cues and clues in things such as dress and mannerisms that fly right over the heads of straight guys.

Identifying a straight manHowever, the advent of metrosexuality combined with the rising levels of acceptance and adoption of traits normally reserved for the gays - for example, dressing well and being willing to make physical contact with other males outside of a sportsball competition - means that a lot of straight men are jamming that gaydar, particularly in metropolitan areas.

Author Jeffery Self attempts to come to the rescue with a handy manual he wrote titled Straight People: A Spotter’s Guide to the Fascinating World of HeterosexualsWith his book to guide you, you may be able to tell whether or not that cute bear cub in Margaret Cho's audience is Dorothy's friend or her date. Self isn't leaving the lesbians out, either: he also includes chapters on identifying straight women with categories like "single wannabe Carrie Bradshaw" and "adorkable heterosexual girl."

You can watch Self explain his book for himself AFTER THE JUMP...

Which of These Gym Stereotypes Are You? - VIDEO

Dude Perfect Gym Stereotypes Selfie

YouTube comedy group Dude Perfect have added to their "Stereotypes" series with "Stereotypes: Gym" and absolutely nails the different types of guys you see when you work out.

DpYou've seen them: "The No Idea What I'm Doing Guy" misusing every piece of equipment; "The Screamer" whose reps can be heard across the gym; "The Mirror Magnet" who spends more time posing than lifting; "Talkative Timmy" carrying on conversations with absolutely everyone.

Dude Perfect was thorough in their listing, however. Not only do they list the guys you've seen, they list the guys you've been. Personally, I've been "The Treadmill Sprinter" and "The Justifier" a few times...and even "The Sweaty Guy" once or twice. Oops.

See how many stereotypes you recognize — and how many you identify with — AFTER THE JUMP...

Jesus Rebranded: VIDEO

Jesus Rebranded

Because if there is one of Jesus' lessons that has gone woefully unaddressed, it is His message of the holy virtues of capitalism. Just in time for Christmas, Mark Fiore brings us a video of Jesus Rebranded. Press the Messiah's sacred heart and hear words of divine inspiration such as:

Capitalism is the reason for the season!

You can serve both God and money.  Go forth and profit!

Go, sell your possessions, and use the money to . . . start a growing, profitable business!  Come, follow me.

Check it out, AFTER THE JUMP...

'Pastafarians' Arrested In Moscow For 'Unsanctioned Rally' - VIDEO

FSM 3

For those out there who haven't heard the good news of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, Pastafarianism is a satirical "religion" designed as "a thought experiment, satire, illustrating that Intelligent Design is not science, but rather a pseudoscience manufactured by Christians to push Creationism into public schools." This past Saturday, followers of the mock-religion planned to hold a "pasta procession" to commemorate the birthday of actor Robert DeNiro, who previously played a character named "Noodle" in the film Once Upon A Time In America

FSM 1They were, unfortunately, met with resistance by the Orthodox group "Bozhaya Volya" (or "God's Will"), who covered participants in ketchup. According to Raw Story, this is not the first time that "God's Will" has conducted public displays of extremism:

"The Orthodox group has held demonstrations against homosexuality, the punk rock group Pussy Riot, and the Darwin natural history museum."

The clash was then dispersed by Moscow riot police, who arrested and detained eight of the Pastafarians for holding an "unsanctioned rally". Or, as one supporter said on a group social networking page, "we were detained for simply walking. In particular, I was taken in for a sieve on my head.”

Earlier this month, the Russian government passed a law that criminalizes "insulting the religious sensitivities of believers,"which is no doubt similar to the anti-gay "propaganda law causing even more controversy in the Eurasian nation. Both come thanks to close cooperation between the Russian government and Russian Orthodox church.
