Telemundo's 'Dangerous Affairs' Heats Up with Gay Love Story: VIDEO

Baron

The Telemundo telenovela Relaciones Peligrosas (Dangerous Affairs) has a gay storyline that's heating up.

Diego, a closeted football player being pressured by family to marry his girlfriend, is secretly falling in love with their best friend, Alejandro, and in a recent episode their relationship is exposed during an argument at the local jeweller.

Plus, things are about to get very steamy.

Watch, AFTER THE JUMP...

Also, not a regular viewer of this show so any comments from folks who are would be greatly appreciated.

Gay 'Days' Character Finally Comes Out To Parents: VIDEO

WillSamiDaysIt's the moment many Days Of Our Lives fans have been waiting for: Will Horton finally came out to his parents and, in a soap opera twist, the presumptive parental reactions were reversed: daddy Lucas becomes the supportive parent and mama Sami totally flips out.

Any viewer who knows Sami, however, understands this is typical for her. "I feel like the world's worst mother right now," she says. And, yes, that basically sums it up.

After years of really detesting Lucas, this particular Days fan is actually beginning to like him, particularly because of his "I see hate crimes on the news" discussion with Wills.

Watch the drama unfold, AFTER THE JUMP.

'Bold and the Beautiful' Star Joanna Johnson: I'm Gay

Actress Joanna Johnson of The Bold and the Beautiful, who plays Karen Spencer, has come out of the closet, making her the only out star currently in TV soaps.

JohnsonShe tells TV Guide:

Daytime is a whole different world than primetime or theater or film. There's a greater intimacy between the viewers and the characters. They think you are your character. And that creates a lot of fear. Fear of rejection. I was so worried I wouldn't be employable as an actress if people knew I was a lesbian. Or that I wouldn't be believable in romance stories. I had to deal with a lot of self-loathing...

...I'm married to [L.A. club promoter] Michelle Agnew and we have two beautiful children, Julian, who is five, and Harlow, who is two. And now we're finding out that Karen is married to this great lady Dani [Crystal Chappell] and together they have raised her daughter Caroline [Linsey Godfrey]. So times have certainly changed. I guess that's why I'm ready to open up. It feels weird and wrong to play this revelation about Karen's life and not talk about my own. I used to hang out with Ellen Degeneres, k.d. lang and Melissa Etheridge back in the day and thought it was so beautiful they were out, even though I didn't have the nerve. When I realized I was gay in my early twenties we didn't have role models like Ellen. I'm not anywhere near as famous as those ladies, but I guess it's my turn to do my little part. It's time to live a fully authentic life.

'Days of Our Lives' Character to Come Out of the Closet [Spoiler]

Smith

Days of Our Lives is set to introduce a (not that new) gay character, EW reports:

EW has learned exclusively that Will Horton (Chandler Massey, above right) will come out on the show, which introduced its first gay character last summer. Freddie Smith joined the show in June to play Sonny, a good-natured young man who returns home to join his family.

Massey, who earned his first Emmy nomination last year for his work on Days, released this statement: “I’m thrilled to be able to portray my character in an empowering way that will show his struggle to accept who he is. It is my hope that this storyline will inspire others to be true to themselves as well.”

Will’s sexual orientation will become obvious to the viewers as well as family and friends but his journey toward self-acceptance is expected to unfold over the next few weeks, the show says.

I posted about the developing gay storyline here back in July...
