Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert Thank Boston for Being Brave in the Face of Gross Inhumanity: VIDEO

Jon Stewart offered a tribute to the people of Boston at the opening of his show last night.

"Thank you for, in the face of gross inhumanity, inspiring and solidifying my belief in humanity and the people of this country...Oftentimes [NYC and Boston] are accusing each other of various levels of suckitude. But it is in situations like this that we realize it is clearly a sibling rivalry and that we are your brothers and sisters. In this type of event, as a city that knows the feeling of confusion, anger, and grief, and chaos that comes with these events, I can tell you from personal experience, you’ve got a hell of a city going there. And you’ve done an incredible job in the face of all of this."

Colbert took a more humorous approach, offered a similar message:

"When those bombs went off, there were runners who after those bombs went off kept running another two miles to the hospital to donate blood. So, here's what I know. These maniacs may have tried to make life bad for the people of Boston, but all they could do is really show how good those people are."

Stephen Colbert Forces Bill Clinton to Join Twitter: VIDEO

Former President Bill Clinton joined Stephen Colbert at Colbert's 'Galactic Initiative' last night to discuss his philanthropic work.

Said Clinton about why he run's the Clinton Global Initiative:

"It makes me happy. I think after the life I've been given by the American people, I think I'd be a slug if I didn't do it. I think I'm just doing what I should do and it makes me happy."

Later they discussed social networking, and Clinton admitted that it's not something he does much of, explaining that "When I became president there was no email. Then email was largely interoffice." Clinton said that what email did do was create the opportunity for it to be subpoenaed.

Clinton said that while he's on Facebook, he has never joined Twitter:

"I think I'm sort of insecure, like what if you tweet and nobody tweets back? There's nothing worse than a friendless tweeter. You're just wandering around in cyberspace."

So, Colbert told him that he had signed him up.

Stephen Colbert Ridicules Jeremy Irons' Gay Marriage Remarks: VIDEO

On Wednesday, Jeremy Irons pondered what giving gays marriage might bring:

"Could a father not marry his son?" Irons asked HuffPost Live host Josh Zepps. Irons argued that "it's not incest between men" because "incest is there to protect us from inbreeding, but men don't breed," and wondered whether same-sex marriage might allow fathers to pass on their estates to their sons without being taxed.

Said Colbert: "So, if gay marraige is legalized in England - Jeremy Irons' son Max? Get ready to make your father the happiest man alive. After all, you've been together for 27 years. It's time to put a ring on it."

Stephen Colbert on the Threat of Straight Men Committing Gay Marriage Fraud: VIDEO

Stephen Colbert highlights Georgia GOP Chairwoman Sue Everhart's recent remarks that gay marriage is not right because same-sex couples "do not have the equipment" for a sexual relationship and that the whole thing is a set-up for heterosexuals who lie about their sexuality to pretend to get gay-married and collect the benefits.

Says Colbert:

"Yes. A free ride. This entire battle about marriage equality has really been about straight men trying to get free health care. Because if there's one thing I know about straight guys - it's that they will jump at any chance for their peers to think they might be gay... Of course two straight guys getting married for benefits isn't a new scheme. It was blown wide open in the explosive documentary I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry..."

Stephen Colbert On The SCOTUS Marriage Equality Hearings

In a clip from earlier this week, Stephen Colbert breaks down this week's hearings in the U.S. Supreme Court on marriage equality. He even takes on Charles Cooper's ridiculous procreation argument against same-sex marriage. Says Colbert:

"Marriage is for procreation only. if you lose that requirement, it'll confuse the issue and straight couples forget why they're having sex."

Stephen Colbert is beside himself:

"If Bill O'Reilly is not pro-gay marriage and isn't a phony flip-flopper like Bill Clinton, that means back when he said gay marriage was like marrying a goat, he was really telling us that he's pro-goat marriage!"
