Ted Nugent, Who Threatened Obama at the NRA Convention Last Year, to Attend 'State of the Union' Address

Congressman Steve Stockman has given one of his gallery tickets for the State of the Union address to rocker Ted Nugent, a staunch gun rights activist whose remarks at the NRA convention last year — "If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year" — prompted a Secret Service investigation.

Said Stockman: "I am excited to have a patriot like Ted Nugent joining me in the House Chamber to hear from President Obama. After the address I'm sure Ted will have plenty to say."

Nugent tweeted on Monday afternoon: "well well well, there will be a freedom addicted all American uppity Motown guitarplayer facing the POTUS at the SOTU addresss tomoro-lovely"

Ted Nugent has really odd ways of showing he's an even-keeled guy in a follow-up interview to his recent NRA Obama threats.

Says Nugent to CBS reporter Jeff Glor:

"Call me when you sit across from someone who has more families with dying little boys and girls who get a call to take them on their last fishing trip in life. Call me when you meet someone who does that more than I do. Because that's really moderate. That's extreme. I'm an extremely loving and passionate man. And people who investigate me honestly, without the baggage of political correctness, ascertain the conclusion that I'm a damn nice guy. If you can find a screening process more powerful than that I'll suck your d**k.

Nugent then turned to Glor's female producer (according to TMZ) and said, "Or I'll f**k you, how's that sound?"

Army Cancels Ted Nugent Concert After Threatening Remarks

The Army has barred Ted Nugent from playing a scheduled show at Fort Knox after he made these seemingly threatening remarks about President Obama:

If Barack Obama becomes the president in November again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year.

Commanders at Fort Knox have decided against allowing the "Motor City Madman" to take the stage at the base in June, the latest fallout over Nugent's comments that he would be "dead or in jail" if President Barack Obama were re-elected.

"After learning of opening act Ted Nugent's recent public comments about the president of the United States, Fort Knox leadership decided to cancel his performance on the installation," according to an announcement posted Saturday on the base's Facebook page.

The Nuge had already been investigated by the Secret Service as a result of his remarks. The Secret Service apparently decided that, although he is heavily armed and obviously deranged, Nugent poses no actual physical threat to the president or his family.

The Fort Knox concert was part of the "Midwest Rock'n'Roll Express Tour," which also features REO Speedwagon and Styx. No word yet on whether the others acts' performances will go ahead. Nor is there word on why the Army ever thought Fort Knox would be an appropriate performance venue for someone already famous for threatening to sodomize both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton with machine guns. Secret Service Investigates Ted Nugent Threat Against Obama at NRA Convention: VIDEO

The Secret Service is reportedly looking into remarks made by rocker Ted Nugent at the recent NRA convention:

"If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year."

After attacking liberal Supreme Court justices who Nugent alleges "signed their name to a declaration that Americans have no fundamental right to self-defense" Nugent added, about Democrats: "We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?"

Said the Secret Service to NY Mag: "We are aware of it, and we'll conduct an appropriate follow up."

RWW adds that Romney sought Nugent's endorsement and agreed to his demands to win it.
