Singer Frenchie Davis On Dating A Woman: "I Wasn't Out Before The Relationship, But I Wasn't In'

FrenchieDavis

Most people recognize Frenchie Davis from American Idol and, more recently, NBC's The Voice, but the singer in fact got her start in drag bars first in Washington D.C. and then New York City.

"I love the gays. I love the gay boys. They have that awesome, masculine energy, but there’s also something else going on as well," Davis, who is performing at three pride events this weekend, told the St. Louis Dispatch. Davis also told the paper about her new relationship with a woman.

"I wasn’t out before the relationship, but I wasn’t in,” she says. “I dated men and women, though lesbians weren’t feeling the bisexual thing. Now I’m in love with a woman I think I can be with forever.”

Well, until forever rolls around, Davis is working on a debut album that she promises fans will include a power ballad. Girl knows what boys want.

Leahcar

Rachael Leahcar (whose name, incidentally, is a palindrome), an 18-year-old with a degenerative sight disorder which has left her 90% blind, wowed judges with a version of Edith Piaf's "La Vie En Rose" this week.

Said Leahcar: "I was the first to draw their attention to the irony of (the blind auditions). I think it's hilarious. When I first heard them cheering I was just overwhelmed with emotion that people would be cheering for me," she said. "It was the best feeling in the world, ever, for anyone to experience."

Robinson

On this week's broadcast of the new singing competition The Voice, Idahoan Tyler Robinson came out to his father for the first time before singing a rendition of "Hey, Soul Sister".

Said Robinson: "My dad and I don't have the best relationship. He hasn't been supportive of my music. Also, my father does not know that I am gay. I haven't actually told him yet. I guess he knows now."
