On Friday, Rep. Michele "death panel" Bachmann and CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer faced off in a heated argument over Obamacare and the proposed government shutdown. While Bachmann maintained her ridiculous assertion that "women, seniors, children are going to die" under the health care law, Blitzer didn't let her off that easily.

Check it out, AFTER THE JUMP...(skip to 3:55 for the fireworks)

Glenn Beck: Wolf Blitzer's Question for Atheist Tornado Survivor Was a Plant — VIDEO

Screen Shot 2013-05-23 at 12.13.28 PM

Glenn Beck can spot a conspiracy from a mile away, and on his program last night the conservative pseudo-professor certainly delivered, claiming that an interview by CNN's Wolf Blitzer this week was the workings of a CNN producer "sympathetic to the atheist plight," Right Wing Watch reports.

The interview in question is from Tuesday, when Blitzer asked a woman who survived this week's massive tornado in Oklahoma, "Do you thank the Lord?"  In the interview, the woman laughed and responded disarmingly, "I'm actually an atheist," and the two shared a moment of awkward laughter.

To Beck, though, the question "just wasn't natural," and therefore must have been a plant by some producer who thought it was important "to point out that in the middle of the heartland, there are atheists there too."

Although Beck said the question "doesn't have to be nefarious," he went on to situate the interview as part of something much larger:

"We are not fighting against flesh and bone.  We are fighting the forces of spiritual darkness.  It doesn't matter what people's intent are.  I will tell you: that was there for a reason."

Wolf Blitzer and Donald Trump Have it Out Over Trump's Birther Theory, Call Each Other 'Ridiculous': VIDEO

In the must-watch clip of the day, Donald Trump and Wolf Blitzer haggle over the authenticity of Obama's birth certificate. Trump, who is hosting a Romney fundraiser tonight in Las Vegas, still refuses to believe that the Hawaii-authorized document is genuine, inspiring Blitzer to call him "ridiculous."

"No, you are. Let me tell you something. I think you sound ridiculous," Trump fires back, later choosing to take a shot at CNN, "You bring it up because you feel it's probably going to get a few people watching your station, which, unfortunately they're not doing."

Ahmadinejad Calls Homosexuality an 'Ugly Deed' to the 'Detriment of Humanity', Says No Known Gays in Iran: VIDEO

Yesterday, at a meeting with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who is in New York for the UN General Assembly, CNN's Wolf Blitzer asked Ahmadinejad about his past remarks that there are no homosexuals in Iran.

Said Ahmadinejad:

"My position hasn't changed. In Iran, homosexuality is looked down upon as an ugly deed. Perhaps there are those who engage in such activities and you may be in contact with them and more aware of them. But in Iranian society such activities, thoughts, and behaviors are shameful. Therefore, these are not known elements within Iranian society. Rest assured, this is one of the ugliest behaviors in our society. It is against divine will, divine teachings of any and every faith, and it is certainly at the detriment of humans and humanity. But as the government, I cannot go in the street and stop my population and ask them about specific orientation, so my position is clear about that."

Michael Moore Goes Off on Wolf Blitzer and CNN

Filmmaker Michael Moore gives Wolf Blitzer a rare "live" piece of his mind on Iraq, Fahrenheit 911, Dick Cheney, and the sponsorship of medical segments on CNN by pharmaceutical companies.

And Moore follows up on his promise to respond to Dr. Sanjay Gupta's "debunking" of some of the facts in Moore's film Sicko.

Blue Cross has issued a memo of internal 'talking points' to respond to the film.

Where's Obama: Character Assassination or Honest Mistake?

Wheresobama_1In case you missed it, here's the screenshot that caused such a fuss during Wolf Blitzer's The Situation Room yesterday.

No doubt the MSM's labeling of Republicans as Democrats several times during the run-up to November elections have everyone on alert for this kind of stuff, but this one seemed just a bit egregious. Considering the right wing has been trying to make hay out of the fact that the Illinois Senator's middle name is Hussein, I think his camp handled it with class.

Blitzer: "We want to apologize for that bad typo. We also want to apologize personally to Sen. Barack Obama. I'm going to be making a call to him later this morning to offer my personal apology."

Obama secretary Tommy Vieto, after accepting apology: "Though I'd note that the `s' and `b' keys aren't all that close to each other, I assume it was just an unfortunate mistake, and don't think there was any truly malicious intent."
