Anti-Gay Activist John Stemberger Says Fight Against Same-Sex Marriage Is 'Worth Dying For': VIDEO

Stemberger

John Stemberger, President of Florida Family Policy Council, has said that the fight against same-sex marriage “is an issue worth dying for," reports The Miami Herald.

Stemberger led the 2008 campaign to ban same-sex marriage in the state and spearheaded Trail Life USA as a direct response to the 2013 decision to allow gay youth to join the scouts.

His comments follow Monroe County Chief Circuit Judge Luis M. Garcia’s decision to strike down Florida’s ban on same-sex marriage last week.

However, Stemberger said that “every domestic partnership, every single civil union, every couple that cohabitates, these arrangements dilute and devalue marriage.”

Wingnut Bryan Fischer Accuses Obama Of Using MH17 Tragedy To 'Normalize Homosexuality'

Bryan fischer

Wingnut Bryan Fischer has accused Barack Obama of using the MH17 tragedy to “advocate for the normalization of sexual deviancy,” reports On Top Magazine.

Bryan fischer tweetReferring to those on MH17 who were on their way to the AIDS 2014 conference in Australia, Obama said:

“In this world today, we shouldn't forget that in the midst of conflict and killing, there are people like these. People who are focused on what can be built, rather than what can be destroyed. People who are focused on how they can help people they've never met…[the United States] is going to continue to stand for the basic principle that people have a right to live as they choose, that nations have the right to determine their own destiny, and that when terrible events like this occur, the international community stands on the side of justice and on the side of truth.”

However Fischer, head of hate group the American Family Association, told his Focal Point radio listeners that the president was using the tragedy “to advance the normalization, the legitimization, of homosexuality.  President Obama politicizes this event to turn it into an opportunity to advocate for the normalization of sexual deviancy.”

Indiana Woman Claims Water Park Kicked Her Out Because She's Gay: VIDEO

Jill sweeney

An Indiana woman says she was singled out because of her sexual orientation when she was asked to leave a water park during her bachelorette party.

Jill Sweeney said she was forced to leave Michigan Adventure in Muskegon because she was wearing men’s swimming trunks and a tank top, reports The Indy Channel.

The park’s website specifies that "all participants [must] be in swim suits. Street clothes (athletic clothing, nylon shorts, jean shorts, etc.) are not permitted. Metal snaps, buttons, rivets, or zippers are not allowed."

However, Sweeney says she was wearing “men's bathing suit trunks, a sports bra...with no wires and a tank top,” that there is no reference on the website to gender-specific clothing and that other people at the park were wearing street clothes.

Speaking to ABC 57, the park’s manager said that Sweeney was wearing prohibited street clothes.

Denver Baker Appeals Colorado Civil Rights Commission's Finding That He Discriminated Against Gay Couple

Jack phillips baker denver

Denver baker Jack Phillips has appealed an order from the Colorado Civil Rights Commission (CCRC) requiring him to prepare wedding cakes for same-sex couples, reports ABC News.

In May, the CCRC rejected Phillips’ appeal of a judge’s earlier ruling that he “unlawfully discriminated against a gay couple by refusing to sell them a wedding cake” in 2012.

Phillips has said that making the cake would violate the Christian principles by which he runs his business.

Phillips' attorneys say that the decision violates the baker’s First Amendment rights.

Earlier this month we reported that a bakery in Northern Ireland could face legal action from The Equality Commission for Northern Ireland for refusing to take an order for a cake with the slogan “support gay marriage.”
