I’d like to think the audience of the GLAAD awards wouldn’t need a karaoke screen to sing along to CGYOOMH!

Bitterness is never “over.” Were you in attendance Mr. President and Founder?

Her boyfriend is Andres Segura Velancosa, one of the hottest male models out there. He is from Spain, a former soccer player, and tops on the business.

Kylie has had some great, catchy, heavily-produced songs throughout her career. However, she is not a good live singer. Her voice is weak.

Well, for Kylie specifically, she was one of the first commercial, big, pop singers to perform in gay venues. Back in the 80s and early 90s, “gay” wasn’t a target audience. It was incredibly taboo and something that mainstream culture felt uneasy about. For someone who was a) a teen star and b) a pop-culture/ mainstream sweetheart (especially back then) to openly say “I have no problem with gay people” was a bold move.

Josh, wouldn’t it be better if actual gay men made it big in the music charts? Why are gay men in general giving support to female singers rather than openly gay male singers?

Do you really need an explanation for this Petey?

Most people like mainstream things – gays are no different. So they like mainstream sounds. Statistically, there are very few ‘big’ gay males singers… but funnily enough, the gays support THOSE singers too. Hello Adam Lambert/Jake Shears etc?

If you want to go deeper as to why we ‘give support’ to female singers, first ask yourself “why do I care?” There’s nothing wrong with gay men enjoying the music of the likes of Kylie or Madonna.

THEN stop and think… There are plenty of reasons for gays to like them… They’re over the top, brash, sexy, colourful, glittery, something that fits many a gay man.
Add to that their subject matter – sex, overcoming all obstacles. Being ‘fierce’.

Add to THAT the real life personal struggles of these artists that could easily be linked to those of young gay teens and men in a disco-disco world.

    What a perfect combination.

Randy, sadly they have broken up quite a while ago.
Ugh, there goes our chance to marry Kylie off!:-(
Oh, well, it should only mean that there’s more of Kylie just for us! LoL
