Anthony J. Costello is a graduate of ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication where the college awarded him with a B.A. in Journalism, Cum Laude and Order of Omega. His primary focus is public relations and professional communications. He works from home in Mesa, Ariz. where he’s also a freelance writer for Echo Magazine, a LGBT publication, and is a copy editor for Arizona Sports and Lifestyle Magazine. Costello’s writing career includes winning APEX’s Outstanding Feature Writing Award for 2014 for his work in ASU’s CLAS Magazine, writing and copy editing content for ASU’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and writing style and communications guides for staff and faculty within the department.
The Arizona native loves to swim, is an avid reader and loves engaging in community service and fraternity shenanigans with his brothers of Sigma Phi Beta. A self-described pop culture lover and consumer, his favorite podcast is The Read with Kid Fury and Crissle, idolizes Audrey Hepburn, loves to analyze and dissect representations of gender and sexuality in the media, thinks John Waters is an underrated genius and worships a pantheon of pop goddesses including Kylie Minogue, Lady Gaga, Robyn and Beyonce.
