Ambiguously Gay Duo to host SNL this weekend.

Republican Sen. Bill Finkbeiner, the Washington state legislator who helped pass Washington's gay civil rights bill by switching his vote, says he won't run for office again. Finkbeiner: "I think it’s better to leave things when you’re doing well. It’s always better to go out at the top of your game, and that’s where I am now." When Finkbeiner switched his vote for the bill, he made this statement: We don’t choose who we love. The heart chooses who we will love. And I don’t believe that it is right for us to say ... that it’s acceptable to discriminate against people because of that." Amen. Ya did a heck of a job, Finkie.
Meanwhile, a bid to overturn those new civil rights laws in Washington state appears to be losing steam as its organizer sends an email, but other legislators suspect it may be a smoke screen. Rep. Ed Murray: "I’m very suspicious that it’s a political ploy. I would hope his traditionally libertarian, anti-tax group doesn’t want any part of this anti-gay effort or this effort to use the referendum process to bash gays."

Graham Norton says he's too old to be attractive to gay men: "People don't ever throw themselves at me. They come over and say hello but they're not going to waste time having sex with you when you're an older man. That's just how the gay world works. I'm normally single so it's not really that weird being on my own now. By and large I've always lived my life as a single man but there are definitely moments when I wish it was different."
Cowardly teachers renege on promise to sponsor gay-straight alliance in St. Augustine, Florida. The students had been given the go-ahead after national attention and threat of a lawsuit prompted the principal to say yes to the alliance. However, when students went back to the teachers who originally said they would offer the required sponsorships for the club, the teachers had changed their mind. Student leader: "I think they got scared for one reason or another."

I wish all those hilarious TV FUNHOUSE segments from SNL would be issued on DVD.

"The characters are 'ambiguously gay' so I can mock gay men without clearly mocking them and avoid apologizing to my gullible gay associates." -Ambiguously Gay Duo creator

Norton is 43. 43. And he's too old to attract men? Dude needs to expand his horizons beyond a schoolyard. I'm 47, not a TV personality, and I find there are PLENTY of guys - young, too - who are either into older or don't really give a shit.
Guess it's that 'opposites attract' thing striking...

PS Yeah, I can see the Gay Duo as offensive. But to me the mockery lay far more in ripping the classic superhero stereotypes.

If you laugh when SNL mocks the President, or blacks or women or macho men, then you must also allow them to poke (no pun intended) fun at us as well. I LOVE Gary and Ace and hope them do a great job hosting! I had no idea that Steve Carell and Stephen Colbert were the voices...that's even better!

Somehow I don't believe that Graham doesn't get plenty of offers from hot young sweet men who would be happy to have him is a friend or more...hmmm

Wayne: "I had no idea that Steve Carell and Stephen Colbert were the voices...that's even better!"
I didn't know that either.. I love both of them!!

I always thought Graham was hot. He's probably just insecure.

If older gay men stopped chasing younger, unavailable guys then perhaps everyones "luck" would change. So many guys in their 30s and 40s seem to be waiting for the perfect, precocious 26 year old who works out everyday, has a stellar career and likes to stay home and watch movies. Ummm.. yeah right. Good luck on that one. And I'm not talking about Graham, he's a really nice guy with a stellar career and one hell of a fashion sense. And nothing's sexier than a guy who can make ya laugh.

I was once asked by a young twink, when i told him i was 53, "why are'nt you dead?" I thought to myself that i'm cheating death for this? Lest we forget-
the gay community was devestated by an epidemic that leaves a demographic under- represented...If all my fabulous friends survived they would be approaching the golden years with me now and we would never be boring, never have been, would'nt be now.

Ease up there, Brian. Middle-aged men, gay or straight, kinda like checking out the young stuff. Sometimes the young stuff checks back, too, because some of them are sick of the vapidity of their peers.
And the world goes 'round.

First, HRH is gorgeous! Second, screw Mr. Norton. I'm 47 and I'm devastated...er, devastating.

Harry is turning out to be a beautiful young man, inside and out. As the Spare not the Heir, he's free to follow in his mother's footsteps, and it looks like that's exactly what he'll do.
Hooray for Harry!

>>Norton recently split up with his 24 year-old boyfriend Kristian Seeber.
Sounds like sour grapes from Graham. Maybe he just means he's not attractive to seventeen year olds. I'm 47, and it's far from over for me. Some amazingly young and attractive guys still find me interesting.
Maybe it's attitude Graham. Cheer up! You're still cute enough.

Well, personally, I find older men extremely hot... if they aren't as flamey as Graham. Its cliche and stereotypical for me to want the masculine daddy type but what can I say, the cock wants what the cock wants. Him believing that that is 'how it works in the gay world' is pretty narrow. Just like heteros, there are all types of gays guys and the younger ones tend to not want to settle down.

Betraying the young is especially odious, and the the administrators, teachers and other no doubt devoutly superstitious christian bigots in St.Augustine who worked to prevent the formation ofa GSA ouught to take a lesson from hisotry and pay attention to the ideas of Sam Adams, a key organizer of the American Revolution.
"IF ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel...
Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen".
Samuel Adams, Boston, 1777
Some one might want to explain to these school 'leaders' and 'mentors' that there is often a price to pay for being reactionary and for bowing to throcratic pressures.

Mr. Perdue: Great sentiment and quote. I'll resist any beer references. Here's the problem, though: we live in a society where a teacher voicing ANY support for gay or lesbian rights or even mentioning GLBT issues is open to accusations of pederasity. Such accusations...mind you, just the accusation...is often enough to cause teacher certifying authorities in various states to pull certification or licensure. Until there is real reform in Florida (read: getting rid of W's brother) this type of crap will continue.

Toto,
You want the "daddy type"?
No offence, but I'll stick to the equal partner type. I guess I can say that now that I'm four-tenths of a century old. And you wd be, um, two-tenths?

Go Harry Go!
