roadCatholic group calls for protest of Corpus Christi production at Gallaudet University: "Ritchie quotes Archbishop Daniel E. Pilarczyk as his moral authority in calling this protest: “Corpus Christi seems to go out of its way to present Jesus and His story in the crudest and ugliest of ways,” said Pilarczyk in 2003, “I believe that this play will offend the sensibilities of most people who reverence the Lord Jesus in any way.” In a week when it has been revealed, top Vatican officials — including the future Pope Benedict XVI — did not defrock a priest who molested as many as 200 deaf boys and that they covered up the rape of even more deaf kids in Italy, I find it astounding that this clown would even think about showing his face at this school, since Gallaudet University is the nations premier institution of higher learning FOR THE DEAF."

  1. Gallaudet has tons and tons of gay students. At Tracks in DC in the mid- to late 80s, they were everywhere. Inspired me to learn sign language!

My suspicion is that the school's response will be: none.

  2. Wow, Nicolette Sheridan is saying that she was slapped by Marc Cherry BECAUSE he was a gay man. What does that have to do with anything other than that she can't get Cherry on the casting couch so that she can have her way...

    Or something...

Certainly if Cherry did that, it would make him an abusive misogynist pig but why is his gayness even important?

Ah, the drama of it all...

  5. Fred Sainz to head HRC? Wow. Great news. I don't know of a more perfect person to handle communications. Bright, handsome, and just plain good instincts. He's a breath of fresh air that the HRC needs.

  6. Having been a proud New Yorker for 35 years, I have never owned a car. But if I did, I would def get an iPad dashboard mount. If indeed the iPad is not much more than another gizmo for consuming media, I for one would happily expire from consumption. A la Violetta in La Traviata.
