Watch: Palin Credits Bush for Bin Laden Capture

Rww_palin

At a "Tribute To The Troops" event in Colorado last night held by ultra-right wing, anti-Islam activist Retired General Jerry Boykin, Sarah Palin conveniently skipped mentioning Obama by name and credited Bush for the capture of Osama bin Laden.

Said Palin: "Yesterday was a testament to the military’s dedication in relentlessly hunting down an enemy through many years of war. And we thank our president, we thank President Bush for having made the right calls to set up this victory."

  4. Of course, Bush deserves credit. After all, he left office like he was supposed to, didn't he?

If he hadn't left office, none of those better decisions would have been made by Obama, right?

  5. Now, now. She's simply giving a voice to the scum of America.

    ;-)

  6. Did she also give bush "credit" for starting two wars in the wrong places? Or for being the cause of thousands losing their lives in those misplaced wars? Did she give bush "credit" for not being able to get the job done?

  9. Tannervale, yeah lol. I never watch these videos that Towleroad puts on. Not sure if one needs to as we know what she said or will say?

    Typical GOP behavior.

  10. I know its wrong to criminally dislike someone, but I really can't stand her. :(

  11. this silly moo is despicable. She is still so full of resentment and bitterness....she simply cannot accept that Obama is President. Pathetic.

  12. This is precisely why I want her to win the Republican nomination for President! Her candidacy will destroy the party once and for all.

  14. Maybe she is from an alternate universe where Jeb Bush was elected in 2008?

  15. While she is wrong for not crediting Obama as well, the CIA got the information that ultimately led them to Osama when Bush was in office.

    So, she's not totally wrong.

This is not to be an indication that I agree with Bush, his policies, the wars, etc. Merely pointing that the information obtained from Khalid S. Mohammed was not during Obama's presidency.

  16. well i guess it is better than her claiming to have shot him from her helicopter. she is just a typical tea bagger like bachmann trump romney santorum they see themselves as the only one who accomplishes anything. the great white straight hopes. more like loud mouth know nothings

    Posted by: walter | May 3, 2011 12:32:47 PM

  17. UH, no they didn't get any information from the CIA under Bush.

In point of fact Bush ENDED the CIA search for Bin Laden the very year the compound in which he was found and killed was built.

Try another meme. I'm sure you've got tons of them.

  18. Sorry, David. My bad.

  19. Thank you, Sarah, again, you can't help but do something SO stupid, SO dunderheaded, SO obvious and ridiculous that the majority of Americans think you're an idiot and you marginalize yourself more and more and more. A typically moronic, desperate move to grab some headlines from Trump while everyone else in America is celebrating the President who actually did something.

Why are poeple still paying her to do anything other than cut a ribbon at a Piggly Wiggly opening? She has negative credibility and enormous stupidity. I'm just waiting for Michelle Bachmann to ask sniff the DNA samples of Bin Laden just to be sure that he's dead.

  20. No, David, you are wrong. The CIA first identified the courier during the Bush admin. Bush and his cronies just didn't have the skills to do anything further with that intelligence.

  21. why don't these videos ever end with a pie in the face?

She's an idiot and is beginning to fade. Please stop posting articles about her so maybe she'll go away.

  22. Adam, she isn't just wrong in not crediting Obama, she is utterly disrespectful for the leader of the country that she lives in. Totally different issue. I agree Bush worked towards the same goal but the bottom line is that Bush didn't achieve what Obama did. More to the point she needs to learn some manners, civility or even a shred of dignity would be nice. She behaves like she was born in a barn.

  23. Sorry to put a damper on the daily Palin hating. I am certainly no fan either; but, she is clearly listing the people she intends to "thank." And she DOES include Obama in this list. Prior to saying, "we thank President Bush," she very clearly says, "we thank our President." She may have said it quickly and without much enthusiasm - but this is quite clearly a reference to and an acknowledgment of President Obama.

  24. Who's going to be the first one brave enough to simply not write anything more about her?

Be a trendsetter, others will follow. Without coverage she'll fade into oblivion and perhaps the nation can focus it's dialogue on the things that truly matter

Posted by: Some Yank in Rio | May 3, 2011 1:12:49 PM

  25. ADAM,

So will you credit Bush for everything else he has done and stop blaming Obama for anything as he WASN'T in office?
