of course it wont. the supremes invalidated all state sodomy laws with lawrence v. texas in ’03.

Another republican wasting precious funds persecuting people he doesn’t know but feels perfectly justified in discriminating against – and worse…outlawed.

This is today’s Republican. Can’t waste money on the so-called Obamaphonic food-stamp-freeloaders’ but spending tens of millions hunting down and incarcerating LGBT’s….Oh THAT’S in his budget!

Republicans are F.c.-twits with no brain and even less ‘moral compass.’

What kind of straight man doesn’t want to go down on his wife? What kind of straight man is so repulsed by the thought of giving his wife head that he would go so far as to make the act illegal? A closeted gay man pretending to be straight. That’s the only explanation. By making the act illegal, nobody would question the seemingly obvious contradiction of a straight man not wanting to engage in normal, heterosexual sexual activity with a woman.

Some of us humans hate the thought of sex of any kind. Some of us hate the thought of sucking something, munching something or even touching something. Some of us just like to “put it in” and look the other way.
Cooch seems to be repulsed by sex in general.
I think I have just the cure for him…yehaa!!

Please remember that this was part of a plan to get the issue to SCOTUS in the hopes of reversing Lawrence v. Texas. Cooch and the evangelists/tea partiers have hated Lawrence since the decision and are chomping at the bit to make sodomy, at least for gays, illegal again. They don’t care if it’s illegal for straights since they know it won’t be enforced against themsevles.

the point was to get sodomy bans again so that every gay man or women is a criminal. If you are a criminal, you cannot be appointed to any politcal or legal position, you can’t be hired for a job in the gov’t and gives all sorts of reasons to discriminate against gays.

I remember back in the 90s there were shareholder suits against corporations that offered domestic partner benefits because some states still had these sodomy laws. they were trying to say that you can’t provide such benefits to people who are violating criminal laws.

And so that was the point of the sodomy laws.

@RANDY Perceptive and should be required reading, especially since Antonin Scalia, in an interview this week for New York Magazine, sent a clear message to the right-wing to keep on trying because eventually there will that one case that SCOTUS (the 4 reactionaries and Kennedy, the brazen opportunist) will use to reverse Lawrence v. Texas.

Our enemies will never stop until once again we are 8th class citizens and criminalized for our humanity.
