Detroit Free Press photographer Mandi Wright is reporting from outside the courthouse before and during oral arguments, which are set to begin at 2:30 p.m U.S. District Judge Bernard Friedman is expected to rule today on whether Michigan’s 2004 ban on same-sex marriage violates the U.S. Constitution. Clerks in at least 7 of Michigan's 83 counties are poised to begin marrying gay couples if the judge rules for equality.
