Oklahoma Tea Party Candidate Thinks Gays Should Be Stoned to Death: VIDEO

EskA tea-party candidate for the Oklahoma State House District 91 is in the news today for controversial statements made on social media in support of Old Testament-style punishment for homosexuality.

Scott Esk, who prides himself on being “100% Traditional Family Values,” started throwing out Bible verses on Facebook last July after a friend posted a link to an article about Pope Francis saying “Who am I to judge gay people?”

Esk quotes Leviticus 20:13, the “if a man who lies with a man they shall be put to death” verse, adding that “If men wink at such perversions, God may have no choice than to judge such nations with calamities.”

When asked by the friend to clarify if he really thought gays should be put to death by stoning, Esk responds:

“I think we would be totally in the right to do it. That goes against some parts of libertarianism, I realize, and I’m largely libertarian, but ignoring things that are worthy of death is very remiss.”

And in a follow-up interview with The Moore Daily yesterday, Esk made it clear his views haven’t changed. You can listen to that interview, HERE.

  1. let's see... oh, yeah! he wants to also abolish ALL divorce on Oklahoma BUT he has what he calls a 'frivolous' divorce from his wife who had TWO protection decrees against him. what's that you say about the Christian Sharia he wants and "he without sin... something, something... casting the 1st stone?"

  2. That picture is wrong. According to Rickkk, that man must be black.

  3. This isn't about his religion or his principles, this is about him being a psychopath.

  4. "Ignoring things that are worthy of death is very remiss'.

    The jokes keep writing themselves.

  5. "That goes against some parts of libertarianism"

It goes against the 10 commandments, you bigoted buffoon.

  6. This jerk has never read the Sermon on the Mount. Let alone knowing what the beatitudes are. You only use Leviticus when you address an Old Testament God so the speaker can beat up people. Shame on you.

  7. ‘Stand Your Ground’ laws are in effect in more than 30 states, including Oklahoma.
Oklahoma’s law is a virtual copy of the Florida statute that has sparked nationwide discussion.
    Just saying.

  9. We should apply the hate, murder, food, etc OT rules to the Jesus Nazi's. But it's OK for them to:
    1. Call for murder.
    2. Hate everyone not like themselves.
    3. Eat Shell fish and Lobster. That's ALSO in the 10 commandments.
    4. Make their women keep their mouth's shut in public.
    5. Be good to their slaves and servants.
    6. Steal the land from everyone "not them". Oh how OT Jewish!

These fun da mental asses are really stupid. They have NO idea what it means to follow Jesus. Jesus destroyed the old covenant, i.e. Law and 10 Commandments. He died, went to sheol to preach HIS gospel. Was risen from the dead. And this sacrifice was HIS contract between man and God. It REPLACED the LAW and OT. I.e. the LAW and OT are now NULL AND VOID in the Father's court. Faith in HIM is all that is really necessary for God to allow you into Heaven on your Judgement Day.

Jesus did this because no human can keep most of the laws and ALL were condemned to Hell. He became the Holy Sacrifice, the Holy Lamb, the Husband of the Bride of Christ.

These wack jobes just show me they are Satanists and have been deceived by Lucifer, the fallen Angle of Light. They are too weak to resist him, as Christ does not hold their hearts as HIS own.

  11. I don't think the materials in his tie match the materials in his shirt; that's just for starters. What is to be done with somebody who mixes textiles according to Leviticus..?

  13. I wonder if he wants to also adhere to the stoning of disobedient children. Ya can't only pick out one which these yahoos are so willing to do.

  18. Try stoning me, mr esk. You won't like what I do.

    Posted by: datlaw | Jun 11, 2014 10:02:58 PM

  19. @DatLaw

lol seriously. They - being antigay fascists - seem to think that gay people are subject to their whims anymore. Try stoning gay people en masse these days. We'd burn them in a heartbeat.

  20. Someone starts to stone me, I am going to start picking up stones myself. OT said also an eye for an eye, etc. What a hatemonger.

  21. This is why we have the Second Amendment. And boxcars.

  22. I've been criticized here before for pointing out how incredibly homophobic many so-called libertarians are. Yes, in theory libertarians should not be. But if you actually go look at libertarian blogs, you will find scads of homophobic comments. A lot of them are as this idiot says he is, "largely" libertarian. They hate gays enough to override their so-called respect for liberty.

  23. I think HE should be stoned to death.

  24. Leviticus 19:19 (just a half page away):

"You shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor shall you wear a garment of cloth made of two kinds of material."

May God have mercy on his soul if his tie is a cotton/poly blend.

  25. @robertL: The jerk has not even read Levicitus, which he quotes - the last sentence or two states that "These are the commands the Lord gave Moses at Mount Sinai for the Israelites." I'm mot an Israelite, so Leviticus obviously does not apply to me.

Historically, Leviticus is believed to have been written at the end of the Babylonian exile, when returning priests were bent out of shape that those who had not been exiled were assimilating and taking up pagan practices. So there was a lot of "death be upon them". Many of the silly-sounding taboos were really meant to separate the "Israelites" from their neighbors in order to form a distinct culture and national customs.
