Gone West
I'll be in Montana visiting family for the remainder of the week (and traveling most of today), so posting will probably be somewhat off-schedule.

Lucky bum! I miss Montana - I have family in Helena, Great Falls, Billings, Havre and Fairfield - just don't get home very often. I'm just a cowboy stuck in the midwest. Have fun!!

dear andy....
if you're driving....watch the petrol station in wisdom -- stopped for a lube job just shy of big hole....they only have diesel.
safe travels -- loved the vistas and the crisp air during my trip last summer.
take care -- richard

and then, it sure beats reading about some pseudo latest episode of 'lost' and noxious cancer of other pretend episodes....serious dialogue -- oh pretend, it's tabloid. snore....and moving on to more colorful or pertinent issues.
have a great trip andy....it's far more beautiful than a two-dimensional box.

To A.J.'s point: Andy. Honey. This Brokeback thing is just going too far. If you start herding sheep, who wool run the blog?
Anyway, interesting night and I hope you are following it. Corzine. Kaine slew Unable. Lott throws a grenade into the Rep caucus room with the snake-eating-its-own-tail message: "We can't keep our mouths shut."
This must have been what it was like back in the 50s, watching the nuke blasts 20 miles out of Alamogordo. A siren in the distance. Then silence. Then the sun rises at night.
The Republicans have trouble. Have you ever seen a major party implode? I saw the Mondale-Dukakis sh*t. It's not pretty. The fact that it's the other side this time makes it less painful, but it's still our President and that makes it all our pity.
Not voting for him doesn't absolve any of us. It's the Office of the President that's suffering here. Every American feels that.
