Scottish Prison Service wants to be an example for diversity in the workplace by actively recruiting gays to work as prison officers: "Six per cent of the population is gay, lesbian or bisexual and the ratio should be the same for prison officers. Many inmates can only benefit. The SPS is setting an example to employers that sexuality must not be an issue at work. The stereotype of uniformed services is straight, institutional, tough, white and masculine, but the SPS involvement will go a long way towards giving other organisations the impetus to commit."

I'm no huge fan of Hillary, but I gotta say I have a difficult time taking ESPA's criticism seriously when ESPA endorsed George Fucking Pataki over Carl McCall in 2002, simply because Pataki's buddy Joe Bruno, who had single-handledly blocked an anti-discrimination bill for years, said he'd finally allow it to come to a vote. For ESPA now to get all snitty about principles is, well, a joke.

All Republicans want from gay people is votes and political cover while they make us into second class citizens in their unholy alliance with the radical un-Christian right. You have pointed out exactly the kind of numbskulled political horse-trading where the Republicans get a horse and we get horseshit from them.

Not sure about the Power Ranger thing. According to Queerclick, Brock and Austin are two different people. They look alike but who knows. It would be sad to think that Austin couldn't find other work, like becoming a computer programmer or firefighter.
A guest shot on Sean Cody doesn't add much to an actor's resume...

The guys on Queerclick make a convincing case for believing that Austin and Brock are two different people. But Pink makes a good case, too.

the message boards are mixed up andy!!
i am commenting on the prison service in scotland recruiting gay officers.. my partner is a policeman, and knows several gay officers in the near vicinity, and he is not in the metropolitan police service either, the mps is miles away.
my brother is a prison officer, and says that there are a few gay officers, but they never ever release any personal details about themselves out, let alone a toool such as sexuality, so its going to be a hard job recruiting then training/keeping them on. thats all......

Don't know if Brock is the actual power ranger... but... I do remember the rumour years ago that the guy playing the red one was gay.
