road.jpg Woody Harrelson will play an escort of society women in his next film, The Walker, which starts filming in the UK at the end of March. Woody describes his role as such: "He's this society walker who has his lady friends, and a boyfriend on the side."

Dh_gameroad.jpg In Desperate Housewives, a new video game loaded with "gossip, betrayal, murder and sex," players create their own housewife and move in to Wisteria Lane. No word on whether or not players have the option to play a diabolical gay son or to bed a hot gardener.

road.jpg A gay Burlington, Vermont teenager was set to speak to the student body at Williston Central School in that state about harassment of gay and lesbian teens when the anti-bullying program was abruptly cancelled after a meeting between school officials and parents. It seems the parents were concerned about the message it might send. Kate Jerman, co-executive director of Outright Vermont, the group sponsoring the event, said, "The message they (students) got was clearly this isn't an OK thing to talk about. That's a lot of damage to the school climate from one very small action."

  1. I like Woody Harrelson. He is a liberal activist against the neocon shift in American and international politics. He and his wife live in HI with their children - which is the closest to being an expatriate without technically leaving the USA. Well, maybe that is Guam and the Northern Marianas, but you get my gist...LOL.

Woody Harrelson's father was arrested in Dallas on November 22, 1963 and has spent most of his life in prison. Interesting sidenote is that he was specifically mentioned in several conspiracy theories in the late sixties and early seventies.

I am not surprised that he would take on such a role.

  2. It is always interesting to note the political climate concerning LGBT Americans in states that border Canada.

To be so close to total freedom and equality and yet to be so far from it.....

  5. Diversity Day was also cancelled in Viroqua WI, ( via http://samuraisam1.blogspot.com/ )Diversity Day at VHS cancelled: Outside group sought to have ‘ex-gay’ speak

    by Joe Orso
Faced again with controversy over plans for a gay speaker, Viroqua High School officials have cancelled Diversity Day.

The event, held every two years since 2000 for juniors and seniors, had been set for Thursday.

Scheduled speakers included Hmong, Jewish, Muslim, American Indian, African American, Latino, Buddhist, gay, physically disadvantaged and economically disadvantaged people.

But it was called off late last week after a legal group raised a potential challenge to include a formerly gay or Christian viewpoint. (from the Vernon Co. Broadcaster)

  6. Please explain to me why gentrified LBGT activists in the United States of America, with its history of Plessy, Jim Crow, and "separate but equal" accept the same for themselves?

Colorado is such an example; and when you accept a second-tier nomenclature and call it equal, you have literally snatched defeat from the jaws of eventual victory.

GLAD wants same-sex marriage for CT, but the gentrified activists led the "pseudo-liberals and the theocons" sell them civil unions. Now, they are having difficulty describing the difference between two concepts despite its actual clarity to anyone.

When, like the anchor in NETWORK, going to scream like FINCH, and go to the streets and yell - " I AM MAD AS HELL WITH SECOND CLASS RIGHTS, AND I AM NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE."

They did it in MA, and I am proud of them. That is why they are the ONLY state with equal rights.

  7. I would have allowed the "ex-gay group" and would have invited a gay-affirming psychiatrist, psychologist and/or licenced clinical social worker with national credentials to discuss their associations' views on "theocon therapies."

In Canada, when a Roman Catholic theologian came to speak, a gay-affirming Christian clergyperson came to refute the arguements made.

In Canada, when a theocon politician came from the Alliance aka New Tories, a real Liberal or New Democrat came to refute the arguements made.

In Canada, when a discredited Cameron-like clinician came to discuss "reversal therapies", members or officers of the Canadian Psychological or Psychiatric or Medical Associations came to refute the arguements made.

When the PFOX group showed up in Canada, PFLAG was there to refute the arguements made.
