Kathy Griffin opens Comix Nightclub
I went to the opening of the new Comix nightclub last night in the meatpacking district in New York. Kathy Griffin was the club's opening act. Here are a couple (very) short clips I shot with my point-and-shoot camera in which she dishes about Mel Gibson, Barbara Walters, and Star Jones.
I only stayed for the first show, which featured Griffin, Josh Blue (the winner of Last Comic Standing), Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, and David Spade. Despite what some of Kathy's 'former gays' are saying about her, as a comic she really knows her audience.
Here's one more clip where she talks about Lindsay Lohan, Clay Aiken, and Kate Moss. I apologize for the focus issues.
And one more thing... After the jump, a clip of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog doing something really wrong to Ernie from Sesame Street.

I've seen her perform live and she's absolutely hilarious. A big theater full of queens was rolling on the floor in tears.

She's the funniest comedian around right now, in my opinion - except of course for Matt & Trey from South Park. :)

These are great. I am going tonight to see Mo'Nique, but now I wish I had gotten tickets for last night's show as well.

Kathy is hilarious. I was addicted to her reality series and love her stand-up act. And Mo'nique is funny! I'm jealous, too.

I was wondering why Kathy's gays weren't on the second season of the D-List, now I know. Those two are cute.
Anyway Kathy is funny. And Mo'nique too.

What?! No Lance & Reichen material? Thought they both were among her top homo home boiz? She could do a whole hour just on Lance's predecessors in Reichen's_________.
