Black Light Special: Johnny Weir for Heatherette

I stand corrected. Looks like Johnny Weir did make an appearance at the Heatherette show. Apparently he participated in some sort of 'glowtastic' black light dance routine at the opening of the show.

Two more shots of Johnny getting made up after the jump...

  4. Yes, and he is missing a skating comp for this. Unfortunately, with how well Jeremy Abbott and Ryan Bradley (but not Evan Lysacek) are skating, he isn't being missed. Many are turning up their noses at him skipping it for this. Pissing off a few skating fans....

Maybe, but who cares? he has 3 national championships titles behind him, and he's still young..I think it's great that he spreads his wings and experiences with other things if that makes him happy.

Remember what they said about Serena Williams, and her recent turn at the Australian open.

Um, well I don't follow tennis. So no.

I just fear he will go down the same road as Sandhu. Who, btw, did shit at the FCC this w/e.

    Oh, and Evan won. Huh.

  8. Serena was critized for not focusing enough on tennis and wanting to be a celeb (she designs her own fashion line which she show in NY, and she dabbed a bit in acting)...but she recently won her 8th grand slam tournament in Australia which silenced her critics.

I think the same will happen to Johnny. He has the raw talent, and when he regains the hunger for winning tournaments he's going to do it again.

  10. He didn't skip Four Continents in order to be in the show-- he skipped because Worlds is coming up. The one time he did Four Continents was when he wasn't going to be in Worlds. See his journal:
