Did John Edwards Cave to Right-Wing and Fire Pro-gay Bloggers?
Salon reports that Presidential hopeful John Edwards has caved to right-wing bigots, and fired his "pro-gay" bloggers, but then reports that the Edwards campaign says that's not the end of the story:

"The bloggers, Amanda Marcotte, formerly of Pandagon, and Melissa McEwan, of Shakespeare's Sister, had come under fire from right-wing bloggers for statements they had previously made on their respective blogs. A statement by the Catholic League's Bill Donohue, which called Marcotte and McEwan 'anti-Catholic vulgar trash-talking bigots,' and an accompanying article on the controversy in the New York Times this morning, put extra pressure on the campaign.Speculation from sources that the two bloggers might be rehired was bolstered by Jennifer Palmieri, a spokeswoman for the Edwards campaign, who said in an e-mail that she would 'caution [Salon] against reporting that they have been fired. We will have something to say later.'"

John Edwards is a sissy to the radical right. Time to do a Man check. Hang it up John. Why are the people having a say on what people do or do not do. How many people want the Catholic Church running this country. Lock up your sons.

Shouldn't this be corrected now that it turns out Edwards did NOT fire them?

It looks like he didn't fire them after all. He just released a public statement saying, in a sense, they'd better watch their language in the future. (I think they should have been fired, or certainly never hired in the first place). But I guess he didn't want it to look like he was caving in to conservatives, so.....he might have made the best move for his campaign.

Seattle,
It has been addressed in a subsequent post.

Edwards could have shown some spine and fired these hateful bigots. Had any other group been so attacked, there is no doubt that he would have done so. Seems he has a soft spot for Catholic haters.
