Keith Olbermann: Sarah Palin's Life Full of Domestic Terrorists

Palinsecessionist

Responding to Governor Sarah Palin's statements that Obama is "palling around with terrorists," MSNBC's Keith Olbermann struck back with the facts about her own secessionist past last night.

Yesterday, at a Palin rally, a supporter yelled out "kill him" when Palin was talking about Obama's association with a man named Bill Ayers, yet Palin let the remark go in the same way John McCain (at a rally yesterday as well) failed to respond when one of his supporters yelled "terrorist," after the candidate made a remark questioning Obama's past.

The McCain-Palin campaign has reached the bottom of their barrel, as Salon points out in this piece published today: "McCain is resurrecting the GOP's oldest tactic: Smearing Obama as a scary black terrorist sympathizer. But he may meet the same fate as Barry Goldwater."

On another note, the Dow dropped 370 points yesterday.

Watch it, AFTER THE JUMP...

  1. I listened to Olberman last night and watched his commentary. It was a good commentary. I wish he carried more clout. Keith has a lot of promise until he really ran off the rails during the conventions. I have a hard time listening to what he has to say.

I wish his message were more mainstream visible.

  2. "Mainstream visible"? You mean he should be delivering his "Special Comment" on "Dancing with the Stars"?

Countdown for the cunt known as "The Queen" to post of the wonders of Caribou Barbie, closely followed by fellow cunts "Las Vegas" and "Jason."

  3. (shrugging shoulders) It's Olberman..he's about as predictable as O'Reilly in many respects either you like him, hate him, or just ignore him as a hack for the Democratic Party on a biased news station.

David, did you mother breast feed you? I'm guessing she didn't and that is where all this anger comes from. Really, go get a massage, hire an escort, or take a pill.

  6. Isn't it hilarious that people like the Douche and Las Vegas along with their fellow Republican gay trolls go bat sh*t crazy over Obama serving on a board with some guy but have no problems with a candidate who CLOSE connections to a traitorous, anti-American political party? Hypocrisy? Yes. Racism at play? Probably: double standard cubed!

Frankly, I think it's about time that someone started asking how the hell the GOP could nominate someone with ties to a SECESSIONIST party to the their ticket!? Talk about traitorous and anti-American, thy name is the Family Palin.

Todd Palin was a member of the Alaska Independence Party for 7 years. Sarah Palin attended conventions and delivered a speech as governor.

Didn't the U.S. fight a war that saw over 500,000 Americans die?

  7. Amen Noah. Hypocrisy at its finest. The GOP has certainly lowered the bar in all aspects, starting with Palin and now lowering even further by allowing people to shout death threats based on their own lies, deceit and lack of a moral compass. Country first indeed Sen. McCain. Country first indeed.

  8. Here's some evidence of Palin's involvement in AKIP as well as an interview with its Chairman, Lynette Clark on her involvment.

  9. Thank You, Noah.

Second only to spying on your own country, wanting to susceed, is just about as ANTI-AMERICAN as you can get.

After Sarah Palin, learns where Afghanistan is on a world map, she needs to look the word hypocrisy up in the dictionary...she just might find a picture her, and her running mate.

  10. Desperate right-wing bigots. John McCain has sunk to a new low; Sarah was already down there.

I guess Carl Rove is back in the driver's seat for the Republican Campaign. Y'all remember that Lee Atwater apologized for this kind of racist shit before he died? ...yeah, on his death bed...

    I don't forgive him.

  12. See, I don't go...how did you so eloquently put it "bat sh*t" over an Alaskan independence movement. I rank it up there with the kooks from Vermont a few years back that wanted to secede from the Union. However, I would have a problem with them if they started throwing bombs at the Capitol or police stations or any of the other thing Mr. Ayers did. I haven't seen any of these Alaskans write a book about what they did and then say they should have done more.

William Ayers could have been a non-issue if it had been squashed at the first mention. Unfortunately the people who run the campaign probably said to let the issue die...but it didn't. Will this sink Obama? It might...however, Sean Hannity has been blowing this horn through most of the Spring and Summer long before Hillary bowed of the campaign and it hast taken hold.

The assertion that this is somehow racially motivated is somewhat ridiculous. Because white or black or purple it doesn't matter when somehow someone is connected by more than a simple passing hello to a man who was convicted of crimes against this country. We're not talking about someone getting arrested for protesting a nuclear reactor or chaining themselves to a tree. We're talking about someone attacking and bombing government buildings. While the 60's radicals think this might be okay many other people don't see it that way.

The Republican's grasp on this issue is a desperate attempt to make some waves towards them end of the campaign. However, the Democratic response of "look who she's been around" pales in comparisons to the bombings and mayhem of Ayers and his followers. Unfortunately Obama is going have to do more then merely stop going to church to get over this issue.

Posted by: Las Vegas | Oct 7, 2008 11:56:50 AM

  13. You wish, Las Vegas.

This "issue" is getting no traction outside the Republicunt base. And McCain/Palin's constant yammering on about it while Rome burns is costing them independent voters every day.

Game over. The only questions now are whether Obama wins by 2 or 92 electoral votes. And how big the Dems will grow their majorities in both houses of Congress. Can you say "filibuster-proof majority in the senate"?

  14. "The assertion that this is somehow racially motivated is somewhat ridiculous. Because white or black or purple it doesn't matter when somehow someone is connected by more than a simple passing hello to a man who was convicted of crimes against this country."

    No, no, no, LAS VEGAS.

You know I'm not just talking about the McCain Campaign's trying to tie Barack to Bill Ayers(a man SlimJim hardly knew), it's also the rebirth of Reverend Wright & the questioning of Barack's identity as an American--all that good ol' Lee Atwater/Carl Rove race-baiting style of politicking. That style has won Republicans elections before, but it doesn't look like it's going to work this time.

  15. "Because white or black or purple it doesn't matter when somehow someone is connected by more than a simple passing hello to a man who was convicted of crimes against this country." -Leaving Las Vegas

On the contrary, William Ayers was never convicted due to prosecutorial misconduct. Since in this country you are innocent until proven guilty and the 'guilty' part by a jury of his peers never seemed to happen, then I guess...well, you're wrong. See what happens when watch too much Hannity, your brain turns to shit.

    Posted by: Keith | Oct 7, 2008 12:36:47 PM

  16. So, what you're stating Las Vegas, is that it's ok to give a pass to McCain/Palin, but not to Obama. More importantly, with the claims that McCain/Palin are making, why aren't the parties involved in jail, but are rather independent and functioning adults in the education sect? If Obama is guilty of their "claims", why isn't the CIA or FBI investigating him? Certainly if Obama is guilty of such claims then he should certainly be held accountable.

Further, Todd Palin was/is a member of an anti-American group who claims succession from America. Why isn't Todd Palin being investigated? Oh, he is, my bad.

  17. The election? I can some it up in one word - CUNT! Sarah Palin is a cunt - plain and simple.

    Posted by: Philbert | Oct 7, 2008 1:17:13 PM

  18. There are many beautiful, and beautifully effective, words in the English language. But Philbert is right - Palin IS a cunt.

    Posted by: DD | Oct 7, 2008 3:29:49 PM

  19. "The assertion that this is somehow racially motivated is somewhat ridiculous."

Of course it's racially motivated. Saying that your black political opponent is not like us, is less American than you and I, is palling around with terrorists, is exactly racially motivated. They are hoping fearful voters will connect these dots and see Obama as a dark, scary, mystery man with terrorist sympathies. McCain's ad blatantly puts Obama against darkness. Never mind that Bill Ayers was doing his radical things when Obama was 8. (Being a college professor now doesn't have quite the scare factor.) The Palins have associations with current radicals, and she and McCain are spouting enough racially-tinged hatred for people in their audience to cry out for assassination! It's despicable. I'll say this for them, Obama isn't up to matching their level of gutter politics.

  22. Keith. Barack cannot put out a real game
plan till Bush/McCain get off our pot. The
greed of the past leaves our young with the
crumbs of McCain's second bailout while his
buddies join him in the golden egg parachute.

  23. Keith. Thanks for covering for Obama. He has
to love his enemies and will probably have to look out for them in the future. I think
the Titanic iceberg was from Alaska. Captain
role would be perfect for McCain. Half sunk
he would turn to Palin and say TAKEOVER!
